Let him get behind you and boost like hell while turning hard and drifting. If you don't have both wings, it's difficult as all get out. Andross has you licked in the speed department but his turn radius is poor.

The only time I really found Star Wolf hard was when I didn't have wing mates to take all of them off my back. They're not a big challenge as long as you go for them when they're chasing your friends and either barrel roll their lasers or loop every so often.

hmmmm wel you know this but if you go on the easy path you fight the robot clone(which is bad ending)and if you do the hard path(with star wolf)you fight the real him but i said this cause if you do bad ending you only kill clone and andross LIVES ON which is bad and good ending when you beat real andross fox dies but you get the good ending at least :)

Just throwing around some random crap, but the Great Fox doesn't follow the same path as the ArWings, and the wingmen aren't always present. That means that Peppy, Slippy and Falco could have been taking turns escorting the Great Fox through a more covert route, such as the one it takes in Star Fox 64 and in the SSBM level. This could also explain the occasional Wolfen ship, which would also explain how they became cyborgs if you didn't face them...

The Good ending is when you beat the real andross and the bad ending is when you beat the robot clone. The harder path leads to the real boss and the easy path leads to the fake.

Hmm... Maybe the caves are the remains a Andross's base. They could've come back just to check things.That would explain why they're there and the lack of enemies. Who knows maybe Wolf came by checking on things. Because regardless of good ending or not. Star Wolf returns in Star Fox Assault in basically their old ships with no machine adaptations. Minus Pigma and Andrew, who they threw out. Maybe to make them look more noble.

thats what I was like when I first saw these vids. you dont really notice these things when playing even if you know where the stage came from.

I never owned any Star Fox game, but I remember playing SF64 on a kiosk, but I didn't have a N64 at the time. I would get this for sure as it was fun. Also I like that cave section because its kinda hard to get people out due to the rock walls.

Look, a remake is the same game, or nearly the same game with better graphics. For example, Super Mario Advance 4 is a remake of Super Mario Bros. 3 because it's pretty much the same game with GBA graphics. Star Fox 64's levels and Lylat System map are entirely different than Star Fox, so it can NOT be a remake. It's like saying Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a remake of Link to the Past.

And what that Nintendo worker probably said was that the Nintendo 64 was capable of producing a Star Fox game the way the creators imagined it, since the SNES was very limited. So, they decided to create another Star Fox game, not remake the original Star Fox. It would be like releasing Super Mario Bros. 1 (or 3 or World) in 3D instead of Super Mario 64 - the technology would be new but the game would basically be the same.
