@vicous707 Actually, a 100$ card can indeed run this 'shit' maxed but it won't run that well.. and also WoW is a really CPU/RAM hungry game.. and trust me, to play at a high resolution with all of the addons u want enabled and maxed out.. u do need atleast a midrange pc... not any pc can just run this game maxed without problems
great clip. have any of you people looked at the wow cheats pack on warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it is incredible, i just downloaded it. it's got absolutely everything in it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches and even the newest arena glitch. i probably shouldnt reveal to folks about it however at the very least this offers you all a fair opportunity to dl it before i pwn all of you!
imo xbox is better for gaming because u dont have to have a really nice, expensive system to play games on. wow is the only pc game i play because my computer sucks. and bungie only makes halo games for xbox
yeah i noticed even without seeing fps, that is kinda dropped around 24-30 haha, cause you're recording, which i still pretty good. You're not gonna be recording and playing all the time.
hi guys i got an ''intel(R) g33/g31 chipset family'' and it realy suck to play wow with it got around 10 FPS with no addon and lower graphics/effects possible... i wanna buy a new graphic card but i dont know wich one.. i wanna spend around 80$ for it. Would a PCI-E GeForce 210 of Zotac with 512 Mo of memory GDDR2 work with normal WoW graphics like 1280x800 and things like that?
@lollemaker I know it's a late reply BUT ...... Try a ATI Radeon HD like this video.... I had a Asus 8800GT 512MB and I couldn't even put the graphics of WoW Highend.... Now I'm playing on a Ati Radeon HD 3650 ! 512MB... and everything works fine for some reason....
My dad thinks this was because of the Processor's Chipset
ye u can say its good but wow still hurst my eyes go check AION Graphics there the best!!!! so far...... im not an aion fan or something so kids dont start replying that "no wow is the best u **** and u are a ***** u ******** .....! U know what i mean :P!
If you're FPS is higher than the refresh rate of your monitor (in Hz) you may experience screen tearing. V-sync creates a FPS limit so it won't go above the refresh rate of your monitor, therfore preventing screen tearing.
But thing is, i don't experience screen tearing or something.. im not 100% sure but to me it seems smooth, but when i enable vsync with 60Hz refresh rate and triple buffering it just seems way smoother and that i can't be any more smoother... Vsync for me :p
If you deactivate V-Sync you won't have a FPS-Limit, I tried it out for myself. Without V-Sync I have allways above 100 FPS, with V-Sync on I'm limited to 100 (my monitor has 100 Hz), I never had a 60 FPS limit.
ur talking bullshit, blizzard never capped it to 60 fps, its v-sync that makes u cap to the amount of ur refresh rating (in Hz) in the video settings. and if u disable V-sync it's uncapped, although 60 fps seems to be the smoothest i can have :P (i mean that i cant be any more smooth)
I understand that V-Sync caps your FPS to you Refresh Rate. That's the only way it makes sense. By default, Blizzard still caps it at 60 refardless if V-Sync is enabled. Maybe they changed it, but when I first started playing, that's how it worked. Also, they human eye can not detect anything more than 24fps, so in reality anything ovrr 24fps is a waste. But who likes low fps!? Not me!
Okay, now that part I don't understand. "Also, the human eye can not detect anything more than 24fps" ... when im somewhere in the game with 30 fps... i notice a easy notice-able difference between that 30fps and 60 fps... i even notice a drop from 60 fps to 45 fps...
Right, that's because your computer isn't going to produce a TRUE frame rate. When your frame rate changes, you notice the difference of the frame acceleration/deceleration. There is a lot of confusion and inaccurate information out there on this subject. Let me clear this up right now: Your eyes don't see "frames per second," you see continuous flows of light and/or information. I can go on and on about this, but I'll leave this right here, and tell you to do some research. Thanks, bud.
Hi if u want to get past that 60 frames u should disable Vertical Sync in wow video settings. This doesnt affect how the game looks but will get you past 125 frames. Probably even on ultra settings and high resolution :) Just a tip
I tried it out and I had above 100 FPS but with a lot of tearing. I recommend everyone who has a machine to handle WoW with max settings in every moment on high resolution to activate V-Sync.
Eh. I don't know about that. I never have tearing. I run WoW with max graphics all day long over 200fps outdoors, and I've seen 400fps indoors a few times. The shadow quality slider is bugged, so you should move it down one notch from the last. I don't know why Blizzard hasn't fixed this, yet.
Im getting a pc with 4gig ram 640gig hardrive, intel dual core@2.6GHz and intel gma 3100. I heard AMD graphics cards are better but id ratehr have a better processor ike intel.
I get around 20 FPS in like solo zones and stuff. Raids around 10 and stuff.
It runs decent on my current computer which is
1g ram 140g hardrive intel dual core @ 1.6ghz and intel gma. with windows vista 32 bit.
About how high would my fps be with the first list of specs for the new comp im getting.
doesnt really matter if you have alot of Ram, you need a graphic card instead of onboard graphics, get a 8400gts or a 8600gt graphic card to start you off
What's the point of show casing wow with a card like that? Wow takes nothing to run, as long as you have a basic modern card you are fine. But great graphics card though.
Why does everyone bost about having loads of ram, what does that prove? Its mostly just your graphics card and proccessor you should worry about. a PC will run perfectly with 2-3gb of ram SOME PEOPLE
I'd say, for gaming.. the minimum u should have is 1,5GB (if ur not maxing out) but if u are maxing out.. i recommand atleast 2GB ram, which I have, but even when i run cod: MW2 maxed out I have memory leak (it uses up all my ram) without any shit like skype or msn running. but instead of putting all the 3 texture settings at Extra, i put the texture resolution extra, other two high then it runs smooth :) but idd, i dont see why people boast about 9gb ram....
Are you serious? With 4 GB ram, atleast a dual core processor, A good graphics card Your mor than ok. You are Fantastic! You will prolly get 100 fps+ in 25man raids.
4 GB is OVERKILL and 16 GB is too much! A quad core is GOOD! This graphics card is outstanding, more than enough to play wow on max settings and get very high fps. and 125 fps on 40 man raids is terrific. Imagine if you are in only 25, you will get MORE fps. And also imagine you playing solo. You will get probably 200 fps. In dalaran. You will prolly get 150. But seriously. You are a true gamer. @ sonicfan7
@Cowbelltheoneandonly I know :P - this account is very old, from when I still played the game.. I do not play it anymore, I laugh at my class-mates playing it now xD
@runescapeglobeskate True gamer? I think you mean skilled gamer. A true gamer would want high specs to have a greater advantage over others. Whereas a skilled gamer would take what they have, apply theirs skills and maximise its potential. I do understand your point though, just making mine ;)
@runescapeglobeskate also i can say as a wow player, its only worth the money you pay, if you can immerse your self into that world, if it looks shitty and feels like your watching a slide show, whats the point?
@runescapeglobeskate LMAO I played on low for years and still toped charts and still got the proof lmao!!! But 60 fps is hella nice, because I missed out on how good it really look's.....Until now (^_^) New PC incoming, with a 4 way SLI setup of the SR-2 + GTX 580 x4 etc. Soon to be listed.
MrTsooj, it'll run well enough when it's not melting. WoW isn't a graphically intensive game.
Be sure to watch the temperature on that thing. Macs, or any other computer that is an all-in-one aren't very good at cooling. For that matter, nor are laptops.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
good that i dont play WoW or waste my life for a game such as this! im srry WoW fans but im not gonna buy WoW and pay 20 bucks a month :D i would probably play it if it was free. "Buy WoW, Sell Your Soul"!
wow.... im truly impressed! it seems as if u have no life just by getting mad over a computer game. take it easy! i suggest starting therapy, i know this kid who died by playin wow too much.
The ATI 4730 is a great card for that price range at £63 from OCUK. It should max out WOW as well as play most new games on fairly high settings. Check the review on techPowerUp if you want more info.
I get over 100+ FPS on WoW at all times without FPS Dropping and i have the 9600GT OC 512MB. So saying you get 50FPS on WoW makes your card look shit compared to mine.
Turn on your vsync and you will also be limited to 60FPS. That means, the number of frames per second that your card puts out is tied to the refresh capability of your monitor.
it probably only runs on 60 because u have ur vsync on try turning it off ur fps will go wayy higher v sync limits it at 60 for smoother gameplay but i dont like it
the whole pc is very nice, its all u could say high end pretty much.. but the only thing that lets it down is your graphics card, 8400GS isnt that good.. i had an old pc with a 8400GS and it couldnt run max settings getting 50-60+ fps.. it was getting 10 - and max 50 fps but i think bcuz u got a good CPU and alot of ram and a big hard drive i bet it will run max settings atleast 30 - 60 fps..
ok I have a phenom quad core, 9500 2.2ghz 4gb ram, 800mhz 2 nvida 9600 gso in SLI mode. ok........ i put wow on high and on cities and towns lookd great but the problems are the shadows and view distance so... i need to know how to improve those could somebody help me?
You said you get 60 frames per second, but what resolution are you playing at? I'm thinking about getting a 4850 card will it play WoW at high resolution? is it a good card?
yes, but at very low FPS, around 15-30 Max. I have cheap ass ATI 3650 in right now, i get 60 FPS roaming. Instances and instense battles drops quit a bit.
Also, WoW has some shitty game engine optimization, with my friends SLI rig running 2x GTX 260s on max settings in dalaran he gets about 25-30 fps (1920x1280)
With my single HD 4850 at max settings i get about 18-22 fps in dalaran, 50fps+ everywhere else.
the hd 4870 is better than teh normal gtx 260, but the gtx 260 core 216 is slighly faster, and with nvidia drivers if even faster, although in like 33% of the games the 4870 is faster
I have the cheap nvidia intergrated graphic chip called nForce 630i, barely able to keep myself at 10 fps during raids everything low, 800x600 -_______-
true gamer is very abstract lol
imo, its not he most skilled nor the one who has the best config, is the one who can play fair, cool and have fun with it, the true gamer doesnt care if he wins nor if he loses, he doesnt take away somebody else's fun to have fun for himself, because he's a true gamer, and he's a role model of how every player should act like.

What people want to see when you are trying to show the power of a GPU/CPU with WoW is...
25 man raids with high resolution and max settings. That will show the power of the card/computer.
That and run around Dalaran a few times.
Anything else doesn't show us jack squat about the graphics card.

It's not V-Sync that holds you to 60fps. Blizzard has it capped to 60fps.
Type in:

Then the cap will be 300fps. Put a higher number for a higher cap.

Going to buy a new pc:
(this isn't really relevant but... )
Packard Bell iMedia d6002
Harddisk 640 GB
RAM 4 GB.
Clocking speed 4000 Mhz (don't know if I spelled it correctly, I'm dutch:P )
Graphic card: nVidia GeForce G100 (re-branded GeForce 9400GT)
I know it has enough memory on it's harddisk and RAM.. but is this graphic card good enough to play WoW smoothly?
Going to get the computer tomorrow so please answer my question?(A)
Shelltjeee 2 years ago
Oh sorry, forgot to mention:
The nVidia GeForce G100 (re-branded GeForce 9400GT) is 512mb.
Shelltjeee 2 years ago
Yeah, it would run smoothly.
But you need to update the drivers, mainly because stock computers get their drivers a little pushed back.

The HD4670 is a good midrange graphics card.
MSViste 2 years ago
The ATI 4730 is a great card for that price range at £63 from OCUK. It should max out WOW as well as play most new games on fairly high settings. Check the review on techPowerUp if you want more info.

i get 250-300 fps on this and i got the HD 4850... wtf 50 fps... BS Benchmark
showrider99 2 years ago
I get over 100+ FPS on WoW at all times without FPS Dropping and i have the 9600GT OC 512MB. So saying you get 50FPS on WoW makes your card look shit compared to mine.
D0DGERA 2 years ago
Turn on your vsync and you will also be limited to 60FPS. That means, the number of frames per second that your card puts out is tied to the refresh capability of your monitor.
:-)
redsentry99 2 years ago
Wouldn't that depend on what monitor he's using? He might have a 200Hz monitor.
UnidentifiedRob 2 years ago
he obviously has vertical sync on making fps not pass 60
PurpleGuardian 2 years ago
it probably only runs on 60 because u have ur vsync on try turning it off ur fps will go wayy higher v sync limits it at 60 for smoother gameplay but i dont like it
BMWMPOWER5 2 years ago 2
The graphics look just as sharp as on my laptop, and your specs are a step or two above my laptop's.

the whole pc is very nice, its all u could say high end pretty much.. but the only thing that lets it down is your graphics card, 8400GS isnt that good.. i had an old pc with a 8400GS and it couldnt run max settings getting 50-60+ fps.. it was getting 10 - and max 50 fps but i think bcuz u got a good CPU and alot of ram and a big hard drive i bet it will run max settings atleast 30 - 60 fps..

Do you need a sertain out put or input or cable w/e built in your computer to have a HD video card???plz reply thanks!
btw is high fps good or is low fps good?
Eekkbob 2 years ago
The higher the frames per seconds(dps) the better your pc draws the pixels and stuff faster.
Low fps just results in bad performance too much screen stuttering and crap ;/
RemoDominiquePrete 2 years ago
You should show (or tell) the resolution you're playing at and the level of detail
razctek 2 years ago
You said you get 60 frames per second, but what resolution are you playing at? I'm thinking about getting a 4850 card will it play WoW at high resolution? is it a good card?
matthewabra 2 years ago
yes, it is very good, He have 'only' 60 fps because he have Vsync turned on.
OverBurn1990 2 years ago
the 4850 will play wow at the highest resolution wow can go :) the 4870 is good to for about 20-50$ more i have the 4870 its really nice

will WoW run on a 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GS video card?
2.2ghz 2mb cache, 4gb ram
vista
m1530 laptop.
thanks
searchbox747 2 years ago
yes, but at very low FPS, around 15-30 Max. I have cheap ass ATI 3650 in right now, i get 60 FPS roaming. Instances and instense battles drops quit a bit.
FearedEagle 2 years ago
alright cool, i just got the 256 mb 8600 gt or w/e instead, that'll bump it up.
right?
searchbox747 2 years ago
how would wow run on a
3 gb windows vista desktop
core 2 duo 3ghz
XFX Geforce 8400 GS 256mb DDR
JohnnyHalox 2 years ago
It runs about 10fps all low settings on my 2.8single core, Nvidea 6200 128mb with 766mb ram.
So I'm thinking quite nicely.
jpkiddo123 2 years ago
Also, WoW has some shitty game engine optimization, with my friends SLI rig running 2x GTX 260s on max settings in dalaran he gets about 25-30 fps (1920x1280)
With my single HD 4850 at max settings i get about 18-22 fps in dalaran, 50fps+ everywhere else.
matcheck 3 years ago
why would you have dual 260s in a game like wow? it cant even use 2 graphics proccesors.... wow need like a 9500gt and you can max it out
Leoooonard 2 years ago
The 4850 is the best card in it's price range, on par with the GTX 260.
For little more you can buy the HD4870, which is a beast.
Definately better than the 9800 GTX+ and any 8800GT
matcheck 3 years ago
how much is the 4870?
Eekkbob 2 years ago
cool but the gtx 260 core 216 is better than the hd 4870 and almost same price
mastergiux 2 years ago
well... why do every major benchmarking website say the the opposite?
Leoooonard 2 years ago
the hd 4870 is better than teh normal gtx 260, but the gtx 260 core 216 is slighly faster, and with nvidia drivers if even faster, although in like 33% of the games the 4870 is faster
mastergiux 2 years ago
WTF? are you crazy the 4870 is like twice as good and the same price. It compares to the 275/280 not the 260.
A4P4P3R 2 years ago
the 260 C O R E 2 1 6 is slighlt better. plus the gtx 275/280 are faster, you can compare the 4870 with the gtx 260
