I Bought a 09 1700 Nomad a month ago. I absolutely love the bike!! It does everything and I mean everything so well. The power even at high speeds is incredible. From the seat comfort, to technology, stying, riding and handling - Kawasaki did everything perfect. This is a GREAT bike!!
I bought one like 3 weeks ago have only had a chance to ride about 300 miles so far. I never had a cruiser before only a ninja for one season. but I can say this bike rides like a dream it feels like riding around on your leather sofa and handles the road better than my car.. I could fall asleep riding this bike... thanks kawasaki :)
New drinking game: Take a shot everytime he says "Day Ride" haha. Is he talking about a belt as a final drive, or am I just drunk from the drinking game? Why the switch from the coveted drive-shaft? Thank goodness my '05 has a shaft drive, I'll never have to buy this 2009!
Carbon fiber belt? what belt? I don't like the new look at all. I think the new bags waste a lot of space with such a huge lid too. I love my 2005 as well, but feel the limited(ness) of aftermarket stuff will only grow with this new look. Kawasaki doesn't encourage custom??? I've done a lot to mine, but it's taken a lot of true custom work just to get some of the same accessories others can get off the shelf.
I have an 01 Nomad with 35000 miles. Still runs like a champ and rides and pulls great above 55 and beyond 85..... best bike I have owned so far.

yeps, I'm enjoying my '06 vulcan 1600, wouldn't even trade it for a Harley, hehe.
On this new bike, I didn't care for the reflectors on the front fork but overall looks great and reminds me of my bike.
