Second time the "dry" signal is mentioned , the signal is out of phase. Does the pedal have a true bypass? Something is amiss . . . Electro Harmonic much better deal, better sounding and affordable. . . hell my Zoom has better modulation sounds. Geez listen to that crap clipping at 5:50 because the attack is to hard..... IT'S A $600.00 CHORUS PEDAL !!! lol
@TheSpoonwood If you think your zoom pedal sounds better, lol to your lol. Bottom line is that if your playback environment (computer speakers) sound like crap, you will think that any recording we make on here sounds like crap. You may want to slow down on your assesment until you assess why the rest of the world is dazzled by this thing (see below), including a bunch of serious pro engineers over here, and you think your cheap stuff "sounds just as good." But if you're happy we're happy!
Your the one who wasn't able to make "my crap" speakers sound good.
I wouldn't worry to much about my assessment of the Moog, I'd be concerned about that fact that you couldn't hear that your signal was OUT OF PHASE on the second dry example. Which means either someone was trying to widen the stereo field (a deception) or the Moog put the dry signal OUT OF PHASE (a failure) . So which is it?
@miroberlinberlin We appreciate you saying so! If you have any questions, I'd be glad to chat with you all about it... I'm absolutely loving getting to know this pedal! -Ross@SoundPureDOTcom
@dejvid14 Thanks a lot, we definitely spec'd all of the things in the signal path of the recording and guitar chain that got us there, but if we can help with your guitar tone or recording gear in any way, please don't hesitate to let us know!!!
@Lovetone1983 right on. thanks for checking it out! let us know if you need any info on the moog line of pedals. they are nutty and some of the best sounding analog effects we've heard in a while
I like the settings you created with the Flux. Many good things are hidden inside of it. You need to spend some time (depends of the experience you've got with this kind of tools). I know (as a few moog modules and pedals owner) this is a very serious tool and can deliver a "strong @ phatt" sound with a large area of apps from guitar to DAWs, live or rec sessions. Good demo.
I'm sorry but since the video started until it ended, I didn't hear anything special or even good out of the pedal.. Give me $100 I'm sure I could find a better pedal.. Not bursting balls, Just my opinion. (I'm a proud owner of moog lp)
@themodularmodular Congratulations! You are the first person to have something negative to say about this analog chorus/flange pedal. Good luck with finding something for $100 that sounds better. You won't find it.
@soundpurestudios it was just my opinion, sorry if I offended any of you guys. While I respect moog for what they do and their products, on some of their stuffs sometimes I just can't justify the price. Well, "sounds better" is relative buddy, I love to hear my dogs barking doesn't mean you would too (for a far off example). I'm pretty sure I could find something used and "better" for "my" chorus/flange needs with a benny franklin. Peace, and have a great day.
@themodularmodular I agree that this specific demo sounds pretty weak. Bigcitymusic have a demo that may change your mind if you track it down and give it a listen.
@TheSpoonwood If you think the demo sounds "lousy" you should start with addressing the lousy computer speakers your listening to, before making such a comment. If you are content with the Boss pedals you have, and the sound quality you achieve from your playback environment, we'd agree, you probably want to stay clear of high end gear- it's clearly not for you.
@gnrfanatic141414 Yes, we have a rhodes, clav, B3, grand piano and pretty soon we'll have some moog in the studio! looking for a place to record keys? we got em all. :)
@bonzo32 Just a Bm add 13, then a G major 6 and an F#7 add 11. Sounds kinda crazy but really if you just leave the E string open on your Bm chord and the B and E strings open on a G major and F# major you'll have it.
any sweet pedal is $300-$1000 otherwise your playin w mediocre stuff...i used to be cheap.. but now i know its really worth the $ for the cool pedals
michah2007 3 weeks ago
@michah2007 Yep - unfortunately quality is rarely inexpensive - and cheap gear will rarely net you the quality you're hoping to achieve.

$100.00? This pedal is $600.00
I'll be the second person. Extremely over priced .
and with all that high end gear and this demo sounds lousy. Is it the pedal or recording?
