Video is edited. It is from another free stuff video, but the put a "buxtop" bar atop off it. It's clearly visible when this bar overlays the "name" bar. And the website is FreeFlatscreens or something similar.
I went to the buxtop website. The overwhelming majority of their offers are crap, pure spam, el cheapo products and services.
I am going to dig into it deeper, but as of now it looks like it is better to go ahead and be a smart shopper on eBay than to invite such spam into one's life.
Nah, not really. If you still don't know how it works, advertisers pay this company money when you sign up and complete an offer. This money is then used to pay for your FREE GIFT! :D
However I see quite a few dissapointed and frustrated comments. Free is never as good as it looks. My idea of free, is getting broken technology to use for parts. At least I know what the catch is.
Oh, and why do they always got all of those great things from said website. It's over kill. Also some of these "free" sites don't allow the referrer to show other people how to sign up. They have to do it by them self.
Nice. I do believe you. But do you know why they offer such products mostly in the US. I'm living in Arica with and there a nearly no options for me. And besides, these products are needed in our continent, not in fucking USA where all of you are brainwashed by the media!
Several hundred, but they dont count unless they give their social security number as "proof". This is nothing more than a scam to get peoples personal info.
this is indeed real, but a warning to CANADIANS, most of the trial offers are for the US ONLY. There are very few for Canada, and they all suck. You'll probably have to shell out 50 bucks for crap you don't want. and then you have to get a friend to do the same! ugh.
I thought it was originally "TANSTAAFL?" Maybe an english teacher or someone changed it, I think it sounds better with "ain't" even if it's not grammatically correct.
Even if this IS true why would I want to give out my information to people who have no credentials who say that they will not send out my information. PSH, like I can trust that. I think I'll work for my stuff like everyone else thank you very much!!
What, so you give them your email address and other people's email addresses in return for paying less than 10% of the product's cost through an unusual online service that claims it will deliver the product within a day? Gee, I'd think it was a scam, but they even tell you in their own words that it's not a scam. Gee, that sounds convincing! I guess I'll send ~100$ to a company I've never heard of before because they told me they'll give me free stuff! Too bad about the Nigerian Red Tape.
Okay, so I'll assume for the sake of an argument that it works. What happens when nobody else is willing to sign up? The referral system breaks down when there's nobody to refer. In this sense, it's like a pyramid scheme: it breaks down when there's nobody left to pay the previous sender.
It might work NOW, in the same sense that fossil fuels work NOW, but I doubt it will last. Eventually it will catch up with the population growth and then there will be nobody to refer.
It's like paying for something you bought at a tupperware party by holding your own tupperware party, is what just occured to me. Silly when you think about it. But yeah, you can go ahead if you like, I just feel more comfortable staying away from networked advertizing.
Hi. Great video! Good luck on your freebiing. Anyway got a question. What does the "credit value" mean? Do I have to get people to do some of the things with credits to get the free stuff, or is it enough by doing the one that is free? Since only 1 or to are available to us internationals.. A thing that costs 8 referrals means I have to get 8 credits?
These sites appear to work because the people at the top of the queue get their stuff... but it's impossible for everyone to get the prize if you're required to get new signups ( there isn't an infinite pool of people to sign up ).
So... somebody who spams his referral link everywhere gets the prizes. Unless you're prepared to screw people over, you won't get yours.

question: does the referred person need to buy/refer someone for your referral to be eligible?
7eight9ten2 3 years ago
doh, otherwise it would be too easy. That is the flaw, people need to buy something impulsive from a unknown website.
Mathijsweb 3 years ago
Right, i once did one of these and no i didn't get my item but ill tell you why.
There are a few of these sites that claim to give you freebies, and there are legit ones ou there.
I had to sign up to a ringtone offer which ended up costing me £5 ( when i was told it would cost me nothing ), but my offer did get credited.
The only reason i didn't recieve my item was because i wasnt able to get any referals.
Yes these things do work, but they just require alot of effort.
Not for me though.
gldsmthj 3 years ago
Like most , "free" junk sites you have to buy an offer to at least 1 of the several offers and complete a form or two for said websites.

I hate to be on this site's side but it's actually a true offer.
You don't send them a penny einstein.
It's a referral method, more or less advertising.
You can advertise yourself on a blog, and if you get the traffic these people do, you can afford macpro's, etc.

UnboxingWiZ 3 years ago
Just because they say it, doesn't make it so. It requires an exponentially increasing number of participants; therefore it's a pyramid scheme.

This is a typical pyramid scam, the same type that you get spammed about all the time.
