@deathlotus1 Well it all depends on how you heal, you may find that you heal fast. But my advise is to follow what your Doctor says and not to rush. It's surprising how much you rely on your hand working a certain way. Since mine's been operated on I've found I've had to change completely my ways of doing certain things- like writing for example, my handwriting is completely different now.
@deathlotus1 Well for me it was = surgery (wire put in etc), plaster cast, then blue fibre glass cast, few weeks later blue cast off + wire out then a black/green rubber cast (removable with velcro) because they didn't have the right nurse on staff, then a few weeks later a proper plastic splint... then I had a lot of physio, few weeks later my splint was removed and I'm pretty much healed now. Just got a few more bouts of physio because my thumb joint is still a bit too stiff.
@deathlotus1 The wires shouldn't hurt coming out, and as long as you focus on your physio and don't slouch on it, (trust me, it may be a pain but it's worth doing), you'll be fine :)
I'll be having my wires removed next week....
near the wrist it's a long one from ulna to radius.
