@Sleeper919 Some kind of brass instrument...but I disagree with you on the feeling that it gives. It seems to me to be like announcing something massive. Like at the first shot of Reach burning as the covenant glass it just before the game starts, or when the scarab is walking across the burnt plains at the end of "Tip of the Spear".

@silentprophet777 I agree it is always used to punctuate a significant event, but it always plays at a sad moment during the campaign. For instance when Jorge knows he will have to stay behind or when Carter orders Jun to stay with Halsey. I feel the latter is particularly somber, because Carter knows at that point that it's a one way trip.

Every Spartan II viewed Reach as their home. This is where they learned to be the best soldiers humanity's ever seen. To add further to that, jorge was born on Reach and he was no exception

He, like every Spartan II( including Master Chief) would die happily defending Reach. . He died feeling he just saved his home.

As Carter said: "He gave his life thinking he just saved the planet. We should all be so lucky"

He just didn't die saving his planet, he died saving his HOME.
