  • Super job

  • One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen!!!

  • Hi rx901, the composer of the music is Ry Cooder and it is the main theme of the movie "Paris,Texas" by Wim Wenders.

    Konrad

  • beautiful movie!

The second part of the movie,

in the sand dunes, I love also the music

    you chose,

Where is it from? who's th artist?

what's the name of the theme?

  • best place on earth. we drove in these kind of places here, and for miles there is no sign of life. no electric lines nothing, our cell phones lost receptions for hours, when we entered nevada from mammoth lakes. advice for travelers, always keep your gas tanks full, cuz if your car stalls, there is just few cars that passes by after long times. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER.

  • whats so great about a bunch of dirt heat & nothing ness

  • @lewiss1100 That is what my girlfriend thought... *Whats there to see in a dry hot desert* She loved the drive, the views, the quietness. Not too many people know about this place. We were at Furnace Creek Ranch and its a very different experience. Planning to go back again in December, when the temperatures are much cooler. It is the lowest, driest, and hottest locations in North America. I noticed many tourists from Germany and France. Not many people go to DV but the ones that do, love it.

  • @lewiss1100

    That's such a .. jaded outlook.

  • I shot some HD footage of Death Valley last year, check it out on my channel :P

  • Nice shots of the valley - check out some Death Valley History at goldcreekfilms

  • excellent video, even without the audio :)

  • Wonderfull !

    I wanna go there !!!!

  • I am really drawn to this place IN THE WINTER. Had brunch there yesterday. Nice video!

  • i lovce this place i love desert

  • I have visited Death Valley several times - it is my favorite place on earth! ... my favorite place in the valley is ventifact ridge... Tom / Alabama USA

  • Very nise work! cheers.

  • It can be very easy to forget how big our country is and what variety there is. Thanks so much for posting this.

  • I am no american, I live in Finland europe... Can someone tell me why Death Valley is so fascinating? What makes Death Valley so special?

  • can't you tell by the video? its gorgeous.

Anyways, it has the lowest point in the entire western hemisphere at 282 ft. below sea level

also it has the highest average temperature in the summer. the AVERAGE temp. in the summer is 120 degrees. its also extremely desolate and stunning

  • Y iz it called Death valley?

    im just makin' sure

  • I dont know why, but I guess because there is no sign of human life and history there (except for Tourists and Supervisors of course.)

  • Cause it's a great place to die... There's not much that can live there.

  • place for The undertaker Deadman?

  • the undertaker lives here

  • ha ha ha ha! xD

  • Me and my family go to Death Valley once a year for the 49ers. Ive been going since I was 2 and I am now 16 years old. I will never stop going, and once I start my own family I will take them to it too. Please, if you have never gone to Death Valley, plan a trip there. It is an experience you will never forget!

  • death valley...despite the fact that it contains virtually no life...is the most beautiful place ive ever been. But its best to go in the winter or early spring cuz its miserably hot in the summer

  • yeah I agree. I don't know what makes it so beautiful but I love it!!!!!

  • google it buddy

  • these are the hottest recorded places on earth .. there may be hotter but not recorded

  • Charlierosea

check your statistics before you post poop....

hottest place on earth is El Azizia in Libya

    which reached 138 F

    second hottest place on earth

    Death Valley, California, USA

    which reached 134 F

  • I'm pretty sure Death Valley is the hottest place on Earth.

  • im not sure if its the hottest place on earth, but its the hotest place in the western hemisphere.

  • YAWN !

  • fuck you! learn what awesome nature lies in Death Valley!

  • undrtaker is from houston

  • For any americans out there death valley is not as hot as iraq and kuwait. Gotta check out al basrah and al jahrah. These knock the fuck out of death valley for clear sunshine and temperature

  • death valley is hotter than iraq or kuwait.has it ever hit 134 degrees in kuwait or iraq before?

yuma, arizona is the sunniest place on earth, which so happens to be part of the us southwest.

  • yeah, it has. consistently death valley is hotter though, and mostly it's the hottest place in the western hemisphere. not on earth, though.

  • the only known place that has been hotter is a place in libya.

  • how does it get soo hot down there?

    it looks cool :P

    great vid.

  • There are several reasons why Death Valley is one of the hottest places on earth.1 its located in a valley, far below sea level(86m) ,so the heat is trapped by the high mountains that sorrounds the area, makes it to an owen, and beacuse of the föhn effect its gets even warmer. 2.DV's located far from sea +it lies in rain shadow, means that almost no rain can reach D.V due to the high sierra nevada mountains. When the air reaches d.v it's very dry with almost no moisture and can heat up quickly-

  • its 50.c over dere

  • I would think as long as a person comes REALLY prepared with LOTS of water and sunscreen and means of communication, they'd be fine. I want to go there.:)

  • It's just like a really big sauna.;) But all kidding aside, places like this intrigue me.

  • i want to take route 66 i August with my motorcycle but I'm kind of worried about 115-130'F. Anybody did it in August?

  • I haven't been there in August but I can say spring is a great season to go if you're concerned about temps, if you have the chance to go then. The temps are lower then and it's more likely to be wildflower season. Pack lots of water regardless. :)

  • i was there.. i was searching rattlesnakes. i hear them, but i didn't find it :(

  • whys it called "DEATH" valley?

  • because there's not a whole lot of sustaining life where the temperature can reach over 130*F

  • some more reasons: there isn't very much water that isn't saturated with ground salts, and also the 1849'ers crossing it were unprepared and many died, trying to cross it to get to gold country. Also it's in a rain shadow, and it almost never gets precipitation at ground level.

  • i went last summer in late june amazing place but it was 115 in the middle of the day get dehydrated quickly but amazing amazing place

  • I travelled around Southwest USA in 2005 and 2006. Omg in June2006 it was so hot there. at 12'o clock temperature was already 50°c and would raise to 53°c in the afternoon. One day afterwards we took a picture in the snow in Yosemite National Park. Totally crazy contrast!

  • I was through the desert back when I was in my late teens in the 80s. all I remember were lots of colors and how hot it was. He should have shot this video later at night when you get all the reds and orange atmosphere. This just looks like Stockton valley to me. Not very desert like.

  • It's so quiet and peaceful there, but not worth going in the summer - you'll cook.

  • I am going there on a school feild trip on tuesday!

Also it reminds me of the hills have eyes...spooky

  • when i went there we were at the campground and we opened the cold water spout and hot water came out of it. also, this one guy slept on a picnic table because it was so hot.

  • undertaker is from there

  • Fascinating. It seems like the loneliest place on earth. Great video.

  • what road in the park is this?

  • The first scenes were shot along weastbound CA 190 coming into the park from the east.

  • reminds me of the hills have eyes

  • I've been in death valley too. Incredibly warm!

  • I will be spending some time out west at the end of February. I will be driving from LA to Las Vegas and I think I need to pay a visit to Death Valley.

  • Int Death Valley in the world I heard they had the highest temptures ever recorded during summer.

  • great video! Fontebrand from Siena

  • If you want to get a sense of immortality go to Death Valley and listen.

  • went in the summer hottest it got was 126 farenheit or 52.2 degrees celsius the heat burnt your eyes but an amazing place definetly somewhere i'd go again.

  • Very, very nice video, and excellent choice of music. Really captures the feeling of being in that incredible place!

  • I lived and worked in Death Valley for several years. It's the only place I've ever missed. This gorgeous video captured not only the beauty, but the sense of spacious solitude. Thank you.

  • Death Valley is the best place on earth.

  • @Krexel that's debatable

  • the death valley makes you scared, the death valley makes you sad,the death valley makes you happy.....but most important....the death valley makes you free.....fantastic place....thank you DEATH VALLEY

  • i've never been to Death Valley, but your video makes me want to pay a visit. beautiful photography. nice job editing. i recognized that guitar music at the end of the piece from a soundtrack by Ry Cooder. good choice.

  • Great video! I hope I can go back to that place some day.

  • fantastic who was the music by?

    nice job les from Manchester.

  • Nice work all around. The music was very nice. Too bad such a good piece of works gets so few viewings.

  • You've captured everything that I love about this magical place.

  • I'm a long-time DV fan, looking forward to going back after 10 years since my last visit. Your video is like a little appetizer for me! Very well edited. Music and sound add just enough for the mood. Thanks for sharing.

  • I loved your video. Very cool. I am going to be there in two months.
