  • Wish I had seen this video back

when my old band covered it! - Hard to make it cook like this!

  • Great Rock-A-Billy from the late 70's

  • great video! I stilI have several Robert Gordon LPs and at least two with Link Wray!

A cool Cat and Fat sound!

  • great stuff, lol shot in germany apparently, the sign behind them says "musik laden"

  • Link Wray invented the power-chord (overplay) if it wasn't for him there'd be no HEAVY METAL or Punk. Youtube is full of people who are haters when it comes to REAL talent. Face it folks, Link Wray was a great guitar player. He served his country in Korea and lost a lung there (to Tuberculosis). Link was (and is) a hero. Go read How a One-Lunged Shawnee Indian Invented Punk: Link Wray, "Rumble" and the Meanest D Chord Ever

  • @boothl232 Link is cool and I respect him and love his music. But if it wasn't for him it would have been for someone else's sake to have been the first to start playing like that, there's nothing spacial about that. Trendy "genre"-names like:Punk, metal, heavy metal, grunge and whatever a generation gives names to it's so called newest thing is quite meaningless 'cause it's actually all simply ROCK'N'ROLL !!!

  • @deedeecapone This is like saying Abraham Lincoln's cool, but someone else would have done the Emancipation Proclamation. Yeah, but WHEN?

  • If this doesn't move you check yer pulse ... a rock-n-roll primer in 2 :10...loved to have been there !

  • @celloprofundo Thanks for the "share" dude!!! :)

  • yeahhh great friend, thank yeahh link wray and robert gordon, good rockin

  • Nobody in the history of the planet has ever been, or will ever be, cooler than Link Wray. Just the facts baby.

  • I Miss Link Wray! I have met Robert Gordon in 1980 at the height of his career he is a very awesome and humble singer! Rock ON!

  • Link wasn't "over-playing" ! He was just trying to fill up the sound with what few instruments they had. Link Wray is a legend. A little respect for the GrandFather of punk guitar.

  • BLIMEY CHARLIE!!! How young he looks! This even pre dates the lovelless, Must a bin a huge buzz playing with link wray.

  • Awesome

  • Buen ritmo ya me dieron ganas de bailar.

  • Link Wray later said that he thought Robert Gordon's approach to rock n roll was phoney ...one of the reasons he stopped playing for him. I think Link's the best thing on this recording.

  • @Rickenbackerpicker more likely that Link"s playing, or more specifically, over-playing was pretty much is hit or miss bordering on weak. Robert on the other hand actually has talent. Most likely Link got his pink slip.

  • @posthastey If you think Link overplays on this, for the love of God, don't watch any Malmsteen videos, they might damage your organs

  • Too cool !

  • Eat that, Sir Paul & Sir Cliff... this is the real McCoy!

  • Saw Robert Gordon @ Barrymore's in Ottawa - Best Show Ever!!

  • BAD TO THE BONE !!

  • Robert Gordon and Link Wray - doesn't get any cooler than that.

  • ABSOLUTELY. Since he passed on they've ditched the harp in heaven and now they play fuzz guitar, rumble on Link Wray rumble on my man

  • This is Good! Very Good! KUDOS & *****

  • Thanks, markowee, it's good to see somebody still knows what rock-n-roll is !!
