Have u seen vids about GW2 from the gamescom 2011? It's very cool and I don't say that it will be the best game EVER but at the moment i don't know any other games apart from WoW that can be so great (of MMOs). And I'm also playing GW1 which is also very cool. And that it doesn't cost money every month is awesome! Look: WoW is maybe the best MMO at the moment but i don't play it because it costs money every month. I don't want to pay for a game every month! This is too much money in a year! 2012
This will be much better than WoW! GW2 has the best graphics of all online-games and events are much cooler than the normal questing. And you make your own story!
There aren't any other games where the character has his own story! And the fighting system is also very cool...

They mentioned in some interview, that they were going to have closed beta testing in late 2011 (they didn't mention 'late' 2011, but since we are may already and they have released no information on exact closed beta dates, i presume it is going to be late 2011) . Depending on the feedback they get from the beta, they will plan their release.
As to the release & distribution, they will simultaniously release the game in Europe and America.

There actually IS World PvP, but it is optional,so there for those who want it.
There is a place called Mists where week-long battles are held (World vs World vs World) so that is 3 servers with thousands of players fighting against each other for the glory of your server. The winning server gets some slight bonuses for 1 week (more exp gains or similar stuff).
theres lots of cool things about this game but theres lots of bad things also. they have made this game so different and i dont like that as much. no mounts , no world pvp (bysides one area), no fractions, seems easy, and other stuff. it looks good but it looks like they could have done better. it seems more like online GTA or saints row when u play them in freemode but in medievil times. but it still looks better then WoW

So people had to do arena all day. Getting up gear and always BG, while hardly got world pvp and people keep demanding on it. So that what it make world pvp is important anyway that all my information.

This game will do very well due to being Buy to Play like its predecessor.
As for what Archeus47 said - It won't drain WOW dry of players, nor will it with games like TERA and Blade & Soul releasing in 2011 also. However I predict many people returning to wow hoping for a new fresh perspective with Cataclysm will end up quitting once again when the game grows tiresome after a month or so, then they'll wanna play one of the new proper next gen mmo's rather than a expansion or an ancient mmo.
the new WoW Content released today and Gw2 will took 12 months or longer until release. So i guess Gw2 will get a lot of players. If they stay or not will be seen.

@HadBrunt99 Definately, with the new mmo's releasing such as TERA,GW2,B&S there is going to be a lot of curiousity in the minds of mmo players to try out these games. That including current players of WOW and other games too.
Some will move onto one of the new games, some will stay, and some will get bored and wanna move on when the content runs dry in Cataclysm. That said there will still be dedicated players to WoW who won't quit cus they've invested too much time, which is understandable.
WoW is just bad, the actual content of cataclysmn is small and the game hasnt changed; its the same grind as before.
Its so boring; and its the same concept every of the MMO's in the latest time follow; its the same boring shit; why should i change to another game if its just the same crap with different artwork ???
GuildWars had a totally different combat concept and was free to play; GuildWars 2 will just continue and give us something totally different just the "Next Gen"
@ThisNameIsBanned I personally agree with you, but in terms of customer following WoW will always have a strong following. Some people are perfecty happy with making do with the same old being rehashed. Some are die-hard fans, people who love the lore or have just spent too much time on it to quit now. Which is fair enough.
Personally I'll be trying out GW2 but I will 100% sure be playing TERA on release.

It will be good when it comes out, Guild Wars Prophecies was great too but it's starting to get really good after 8-12 months of patching and extras. That's when a game like this really is going to kick ass.

Blizzard will make Cataclysm hard again, as it was in previous expansions. Wrath was a piece of cake and noobfriendly. Cataclysm is going to slap those people in the face. Furthermore, you just called 12 million players retards. Just think about that for a minute. 12 million players. You can say if you in fact did play WoW, because I don't know that. The next time, think what you say before you act. I don't say that I dislike Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2, I am only telling you the other side.

Bugs kill the mood... It's better if they test it thoroughly and then release it when it's done.
Many games were released as fast as possible and then they got rated down and everyone is complaining about how buggy they are and how easily they could have been better.
@TheWickerMan3 I completely agree. I'm a huge GW fan and I can't wait for GW2 but in a way I'm happy they haven't said a release date. That just says to me that they really want to perfect this game. Most games who have a release date end up slamming hundreds of things in at the last minute. Personally I don't mind bugs, But I'd rather buy a fully finished game.

@ilikeit44444 Das ist beides falsch. Guild Wars 2 kommt weder am 11. Feburar noch am 2. November. Bisher gibt es noch keinen offiziellen Releasetermin - da kann auf Amazon, Machinima oder sonstwo stehen was will. So lange es nicht auf guildwars2 com steht, ist es nicht offiziell ;)

Werden Skills oder normale Schläge mehrere Gegner erreichen? Oder wie in AION nur den selektierten? War der Grund dafür AIOn nach 20h Spielzeit zu deinstallieren.
Wirst von 2 angegriffen und kannst selbst nur durch dämliches geklicke auf einen reagieren, ausser mit den den wenigen Skills, welche mehrere Gegner erreichen.

This game will do very well due to being Buy to Play like its predecessor.
As for what Archeus47 said - It won't drain WOW dry of players, nor will it with games like TERA and Blade & Soul releasing in 2011 also. However I predict many people returning to wow hoping for a new fresh perspective with Cataclysm will end up quitting once again when the game grows tiresome after a month or so, then they'll wanna play one of the new proper next gen mmo's rather than a expansion or an ancient mmo.

@HadBrunt99 Definately, with the new mmo's releasing such as TERA,GW2,B&S there is going to be a lot of curiousity in the minds of mmo players to try out these games. That including current players of WOW and other games too.
Some will move onto one of the new games, some will stay, and some will get bored and wanna move on when the content runs dry in Cataclysm. That said there will still be dedicated players to WoW who won't quit cus they've invested too much time, which is understandable.

WoW is just bad, the actual content of cataclysmn is small and the game hasnt changed; its the same grind as before.
Its so boring; and its the same concept every of the MMO's in the latest time follow; its the same boring shit; why should i change to another game if its just the same crap with different artwork ???
GuildWars had a totally different combat concept and was free to play; GuildWars 2 will just continue and give us something totally different just the "Next Gen"

@ThisNameIsBanned I personally agree with you, but in terms of customer following WoW will always have a strong following. Some people are perfecty happy with making do with the same old being rehashed. Some are die-hard fans, people who love the lore or have just spent too much time on it to quit now. Which is fair enough.
Personally I'll be trying out GW2 but I will 100% sure be playing TERA on release.

It will be good when it comes out, Guild Wars Prophecies was great too but it's starting to get really good after 8-12 months of patching and extras. That's when a game like this really is going to kick ass.

Blizzard will make Cataclysm hard again, as it was in previous expansions. Wrath was a piece of cake and noobfriendly. Cataclysm is going to slap those people in the face. Furthermore, you just called 12 million players retards. Just think about that for a minute. 12 million players. You can say if you in fact did play WoW, because I don't know that. The next time, think what you say before you act. I don't say that I dislike Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2, I am only telling you the other side.

Bugs kill the mood... It's better if they test it thoroughly and then release it when it's done.
Many games were released as fast as possible and then they got rated down and everyone is complaining about how buggy they are and how easily they could have been better.

@TheWickerMan3 I completely agree. I'm a huge GW fan and I can't wait for GW2 but in a way I'm happy they haven't said a release date. That just says to me that they really want to perfect this game. Most games who have a release date end up slamming hundreds of things in at the last minute. Personally I don't mind bugs, But I'd rather buy a fully finished game.
