You have to remember, that their 6 irons are more like our 5 irons.

@jamesabrook That's true if you're talking about distance. If you're talking about aspects of the club, our 5 irons are more like their 4 irons since most GI irons have stronger lofts that players' clubs.

@pokemonnoobXDan No, in general player's irons (blades or small cavitybacks) have higher lofts than GI irons. In Rickie Fowler's case, his Titleist 710 blade 4 and 5 irons are slightly stronger in loft than standard, but his 6-9 irons have standard lofts. His 6 iron is 31*, compared to a 29* PING G20 6 iron for example. GI irons usually have lower lofts because they hit the ball higher with the weight so low in the head, so they counteract the extra height with lower loft.

Im 16 years old and I carry my 6 iron around 185 plus maybe some roll if im hitting it to the fairway. he hits it rediculously long

@XlburrowsX The more impressiv is that he isn't as high as Tiger Woods. I mean, I'd understand that a 1.85m guy would be able to hit longer than me, but the guy is the same height as I am and he hits 30 yards longer! Agree for the wheetabix haha

I'm lucky if my drive CARRIES 216 yards, if I had hit a 6 iron there I'd probably be behind the ladies tee and owe the ladies in my ball a beer each ^^
