I agree completely with antoniobrave, this is a beautiful but totally ironic song, one of my favorites, and I think all the hard work that went into the video totally misses the point, the tone, of Marks' song. Images of Jimmy Swaggart or Oral Roberts - would be more appropriate. I mean COME ON: "I give all I can to the man with the diamond ring, he's a part of heaven's plan, and he sure can sing"?? We're not talking Hallmark here . . .

"On Every Street" at first listening seems trite and trivial, but upon many listenings its credibility increases manyfold, give the devil his due, IMO, musically Mark Knopfler both has no equal and is incapable of error!
