Dude, this is soooooo good, nearly perfect, big ups. One thing though, shouldve added more reverb, and made the stratocaster a little bit louder because it seems like thats more of the lead
This is the closest version of Jorgen Ingmann I have ever heard, and growing up at that time, my friends and I loved his version. The Shadows and Ventures were great groups and musicians who were more sucessful and had a large number of great hits of which I purchased. However there was something from this great guitarist and this one disc from the Atco label that is hard to explain almost mythical. I think Apache is one of the best instrumentals ever!!! Ron
@59Mrfreeze,...well you are half right,....always someone to make a correction. If we go back to the original, yes it had lyrics, and was not a surf tune, BUT,...this song has been changed and has been lumped in with surf instrumental tunes. Lets put it this way,...its a freaking surf instrumental now!
Fine straight ahead cover clever split screen synch but REAL IRRITATING rythym track burying the guitars and not played well with bass dropout too. The backing just kills your guitars. Nice to see the interplay on the P-I-P effect between the guitars, definitely more Ventures inspired than Ingmann version.
Jorgen is #1... but you guys are a good second. The Shadows didn't do it for me. There are some great guitar songs out there and this is one of the best.
This would have been perfect if you did tapped harmonics on the second guitar, that's how the original was played. Still a great cover thumbs up from me.
very good job guys. I love hearing the old surf tunes played with class. very good job! This is one tune you just better now screw up and you did it real justice. Im impressed keep it up!!!
to jest do bani, ta chujowa gitara grająca wysoko to pomyłka i te jej wstawki, aż się żygać chce. Ludzie wy się na muzyce nie znacie jak uważacie, że taka wersja lepsza niż stare dobre Shadows

@my02warrior It's NOT a surf tune. we had never heard of surfing when this was written and recorded in 1960 in England no 1 for 5 weeks

@my02warrior This not a surf tune surf was not around when the Shadows recorded this in 1960 and this is no where near as good as the Shadows

Only need a third window to see the rhythm guitar!

This is the best version, so far. I like it when one sticks as close to the original as possible.

This is pretty good.
The Ingmann version is better because of all of the little flourishes, and you do them all here.
Once you are used to this one, the Shadows version always seems to be lacking.
I would only suggest slowing it down a bit and putting the Strat on echo all the way through.
