  • awesome. I am thinking about doing this for my secondary PC, and then having 3D surround on my main computer. My desk is 2.1 meters long, and I fear it's not big enough

  • dude, you have the same keyboard as i do... the G15 i believe it is... (i would know but i'm at work and can't look down)

  • @Xx069FFMbaratixX No speakers on monitor. I've got a pair sitting just behind the screens in this vid.

  • @IamLinksys Again, it's coz it's free to use.

  • Omfg thats awesome, i have the dell 30" right now, im so going to go pick up a couple of used 20's now thats sick.

  • Have you ever found a triple monitor stand that supports this setup? The 2007fp stands never are exactly even in portrait mode.

  • @mygaffer the 2007FP stands just allow a portrait configuration. No special stands used here.

  • This is my dream config. I have 1 20" 2007fp and 1 30" 3007wfp-hc. I just need one more 20" Dell.

  • Why you gotta ruin a perfectly good tech porn video with shitty music?

  • @mygaffer Was told off by YouTube for using copyrighted music so had to pick some royalty-free stuff. The original music synced with the video too :( tho I don't mind a bit of Drownin' Pool anyway.

  • Ive got this too , its good to have awesome computer capable of doing anything !

  • how does the resolution on the other 20 inchers, as opposed to the 30's 2560x1600

is it something you have to get use to being that the 20" monitors don't go as high.

meaning they don't look as crisp. i've been debating wether to get another 30 or 2x 20's but the res. difference. has me up in the air..

  • @Midas617 The 20" monitors line up perfectly, height and pixel wise, its why he chose them.

  • @Midas617 the two 20"ers are 1200x1600 so they match almost* perfectly. All screens use their native res.

    * I say almost as the pixel density is ever-so-slightly different but not visible to the naked eye: .250 (30") vs .255 (20")

  • @lloydcody yeah i did some research on that the 20's are 1600x1200's when you put em in portrait mode they line up with the 30" monitors 1600's line of resolution.... thanx for the reply!!!

  • @Midas617 The two 20's are actually 4:3 (although it's an optical illusion which make 'em look wider when they're in portrait). The 30 is 16:10. 30"er is 2560x1600, the two 20"ers are 1200x1600. So whole the setup is 1600 pixel rows in height and 1200 + 2560 + 1200 pixel columns in width.

The two 20's match the 30 perfectly in height.

  • the 20 inch monitors are 16:9 or 16:10 ??

and what resolution do they run ??

  • @hondaracingnet The two 20's are actually 4:3 (although it's an optical illusion which make 'em look wider when they're in portrait). The 30 is 16:10. 30"er is 2560x1600, the two 20"ers are 1200x1600. So whole the setup is 1600 pixel rows in height and 1200 + 2560 + 1200 pixel columns in width.

  • Looks pretty sweet.

  • What's the rez of the side monitors?

  • wat king of keyboard do u have

  • @owngunz Logitech G15 (v1)

  • your a jammy bastard. i want all of this :(

  • That's one hell of a setup.

  • pls advice .. if i watch movie alwys in the center only .. i zoom it but not working on 2x side pls help

  • Are you still using this setup?

What are the specs of your PC?

  • Comment removed

  • that is a sweet setup.

  • That's sick man. I have 2 23" and love them

  • Looks sick. Looking at doing a triple monitor setup myself, how much did yours cost?

  • This set up is OLD now but at the time about £300 for each side screen and £850 for the 30 incher.

  • how to set vertical setting i have 30 inch dell 2x20inch 2001 plss help ...

  • Depends on your OS and gfx card sofware. I use Vista/ATI Catalyst

  • wht the 20 inch resolution in both sides 1900x1200 or 1600x1200

  • 1600, its a 4:3 screen. also, dell doesnt sell 20 inch ultrasharps with a 1900x1200 res. 1600 is also better because the 3007 has 1600 pixels in height (2560x1600). a higher resolution on the sidescreens wouldve fucked it up.

  • @charliepcmaster 1200x1600 (portrait) 4:3. The 4:3s are quite rare these days.

  • totally awesome, i bet it makes up for not having a girlfriend

  • @jlumley

Lol. I have a similiar setup and a girlfriend that loves me. Just because you can't get one doesn't mean you should take it out on everyone else. xD

  • @jlumley Is someone sad that they don't have any money? Let me tell you, a guy who can afford this stuff has enough money to attract a gf.

  • @jlumley lol

  • its still windows

  • you should play DEFCON on that thing.

  • Bezel management?

  • @salimras123 Doesn't really bother me. I thought it would too. I tend to use the three screens psuedo individually so very rarely have anything spanning over more than one which is probably the reason it's not that annoying. Would be nice without them of course!

  • I like his phone.

  • how much did that cost ?

  • i have 1 graphics card and 3 monitors, i want to play half life 2 on there.i can see i have a dvi conector.i seen someone have triple head to go contector is that worth purchasing they are about 200 GBP

  • Hi. How do you conect the 3 monitors?

    With 2 graphics cards?

  • Each graphics card has two DVI outputs - once for each monitor and one for the telly (via DVI to HDMI) ;)

  • Sorry but what is telly ´(I´m spanish). Can you conect 4 monitors in total?

P.D. How do you cost the three monitors? Answer if you want ;p

  • Is actually very easy you just need 2 video cards each one need DVI outputs like he said and a Triplehead2go, this is a device very common that connects th monitors

  • @pacoron43 no. i think Triplehead2go has a max res of 1680x1050.i think he uses 2 graphics cards to do the setup

  • @Azcona2 "telly" is TV. I'd say this entire setup costs around £600-£700 max second-hand now.

  • sorry... let just ask... is samsung la 320330 good for gaming? 32 "....

  • Reading the description of the video would do wonders for you.

  • thats a very good set up i admire you

  • dust2! <3

  • richass....

  • i want this too :=(

  • Can u please tell me how to set this up, that will be a big help =) Cheers...

  • Simply really,

Just get 2 x Dell 2007FP monitors and a Dell 3007WFP and two graphics cards. Plug them all in and you're away...

  • do you have your 20'' monitors turned sideways that's what it looks like

  • yes, you can turn this monitors.

  • what program or hard ware u using on all 3 screens

  • are u using triple head to go

  • Nope

  • side monitors look small

  • Sweet setup. i'm running a 19" non wide with an old 17" CRT. gonna upgrade to a 22" wide and put my 19" LCD on the side. should be same height. but you're is just awesome!!

  • Very nice!

What graphic card(cards) are you using??

  • Just to X1950 Pros. Tho would like to upgrade to HD3800X2 series at some point...

  • That's "two" not "to"...

  • Hey, what about your experience with vista??, with such a setup like that and time using it, have you find bad things in vista, i mean, stability or something else???

  • Vista's running fine - it's very snappy in fact. Tho I do have 6GB of fastish RAM and a 4GB fast mem stick for ReadyBoost which I think help. There are a few niggles especially as I've got the 64bit version but most with simple workarounds.

  • hey, dhat's an awesome setup. want to know what software your using in vista for 3 monitors , or how you set it up. is your aero interface on?

    greetings bart

  • The Catalyst Control Center (software) that comes with my gfx cards arranges the monitor outputs. Vista can also do it for you. You must use the same graphics drivers for all monitors (apparently) if you want Aero to work (which I have and it does)!

  • If I had a setup like this, I wouldn't leave the house.

  • I don't!

  • Nice!

  • what are your side monitors?

  • Dell 2007FP (quite rare as these are the non-widescreen type). Dell also do a 2001FP iirc, which is an older model but will work just as well.

  • Do u think it will work for me if i have my LCD 22" and I'll make him dual and pivot with this beast ? but there is a problem this 22" would be 1680 x 1050 will i have any problems with moving windows between them screen ?

  • There shouldn't be too much problem. Your side screen will just extend higher than your main screen so your total desktop space will actually be U-shaped (if you get what I mean) - or L-shaped with just one side screen.

  • What kind of song is that ?

  • Nickelback - Because of You. The end song is called Breathe I think also by Nickelback.

  • Are you a graphic designer or sth do u need that much workplace or are you just vein ;)

  • Web designer and c#/Java programmer ...and it looks cool!

  • Have you actually calibrated them ?

  • in what way?

  • Pitch / colour / gamut?

  • Everything, have you done any adjustements with Spyder 2 or 3 or any other calibrator, or have you actually left it as it was and didn't bother.

  • Nope - left as is.

  • where from u got your screensaver with the "lines"?thx

  • Standard in Vista. I have the Ultimate version so perhaps it's only in that, though.

  • If you've got Home Premium or Ultimate. It's called Ribbons

  • Nice!i'm loocking for a similar arrangment, so i've got a few questions. what ist the brand of your middle screen, and is it a 24" ? are the sidesscreens just 2 pivot-widescreens, or 2 Special screens? thanks for help.

  • Hi,

The middle screen is a 30" Dell 3007WFP (widescreen) and the other two are 20" Dell 2007FP (non-widescreen) put in portrait (these non-widescreen types are quite rare so keep a look out for them). Using widescreen screens for the side screens won't work. All very simple to do. The two side screens have almost the same pixel pitch as the main screen so it all works seemlessly. So each side screen has a resolution of 1200x1600 and the main middle screen is 2560x1600.

    Hope this helps,

    LLOYDY

  • how you get your wallpaper to do that

  • I was using a little app called "Desktop Wallpaper" which sorts it all out for u. But if u get a pic to the exact resolution and set it to Tiled mode you can get it to span across without the app still. The picture is tiled starting with monitor 1, though, meaning I have to chop the right side of the image off and put it as the left side for it to span properly (Photoshop job). Desktop Wallpaper makes life so much easier tho...

  • what kinde of computer you got

  • Self-built. Nothing amazing: Overclocked E6600 (3.4GHz), 6GB 4-4-4-12 Corsair @ 800MHz, 2x X1950 Pros, two RAID0ed WD 500GB HDs, 2x RAID0ed 320GB HDs,Xporter XT ReadyBoost drive, Zalman cooler etc
