  • NICE incubator! Gonna make this sometime next week, although I'm going to be incubating spores not eggs haha

  • Good Video,I would suggest testing the temp, after longer than a hour,I would say test the temp & hum during different times of the day, over 24 hrs.& add a window. Why not, lives depend on temp/humidity,Submersable water heaters are about the same price,& are better & Safer,,I keep mine 1/2 in the water,1/2 out ,keeps the water warm,

  • dislike cause in 5minutes

  • great video thanks

  • could you put puppys in one of these?

  • Hello Hello Nice video... I've just started a website about incubators. (eggincubators.everydex.com) I should really like if you would add yours to the website. • trus me guys build you own one , i spent £35 on a incubator which i could have made my self for under £15

  • would this work for bearded dragon eggs?

  • hey great vid i am going to try ball python breeding when my ball pythons get bigger so this should really help with my budget

  • I use the styro- foam because it insulates better then just a rubbermaid container. you could also use a cheap cooler from a yard sale that would work as good or better.

  • @Wereboa does it work for turk and chicks?

  • @zoughbi yes

  • great Video

Question Could I not just use a big Rubbermaid Tub for a Incubator do u know if that would work

  • important question what do you use for bedding for the eggs.

  • Hey I have a question for you, how hot and humid do you need bearded dragon eggs to be. I have a bearded dragon and am thinking about breeding. That's all I need to know. Oh and how much money do you sell your babies to the pet stores? PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!

  • what if you want to set the incubator to 80 to 83 degrees F, will you still need a heatpad? by the way i'm from Philippines.thanks

  • why did you put the heat pad like that does it matter what side is facing the eggs?

  • Guys who can incubate are hot ;) Thanks.

  • which terrmostat do u use cause i can only find them at $30+

  • To the person who asked why put the heat pad on top- I put the heat pad on top because I fill the bottom of the cooler with water for humidity. If the heat pad was on the bottom I would have bigger problems then loosing a little heat. The cooler insulates so not much heat is loss.

To the person who asked about king snake eggs- You may put any eggs you want in this set up. I have done bearded dragons, fat tail geckos, leopard gecko. etc... anything you want to try really. Good luck !!

  • @Wereboa wait how much water do u put and wear

  • Can you hatch King Snake eggs in that type of incubator?

  • Can you hatch King Snake eggs in that type of incubator?

  • Where about do you live? I would love a medium sized male bearded dragon. I just recently found out the bearded dragon I have is female and I plan to breed her. I have everything set up for when shes ready to lay her eggs. I also have 2 leo geckos. male and female. the female is currently in the process of fully developin her eggs. Just waiting when shes ready.

  • will this work for a corn snake great information!!

  • Hello Wereboa

I have to admit I am very impressed with the quality of your videos here on youtube.

They are certainly a pleasure to watch as I do enjoy them.

I am sure there is many others who also feel the same about your videos.

    Mark McCulloch

  • Isn't it easy if your gona buy an egg and hatch it why not let the mother hatch it lol.

  • dude an incubator is for like a reptile when it lays its eggs in the aquarium the egg might roll or not get hot enough and if it rolls it will usually drown

  • is that gonna work to a ball python egg?

  • good and simple

the electronic stuff is not necesary if you calculate correcty th size of the box and the power of the heater

if you need to use a variable temperature you´ll need a dimmer or less power heather

i´ll try whit this for my next rhinoclemmy´s eggs

  • gud day to u fren i want to learn more about ur incubator.wats dat one black wd wire is dat electronics gudget?

  • the incubator is very cool and i made the same one from your instructions

  • just wondering is it better to have it dark or bright or dose it make any difference ??

    thanks!!

  • can i use this for birds?

  • Will this work for Russian tortoise eggs that need to have 70 percent humidity and temps in the 80s

  • thx 10 of my eggs hatch i love them there so cute when they hatch!

  • good stuff!

  • can heat mat work

  • Wooow thanks a ton man!

  • nice my beardies are having eggs soon i use a poly box couple inches of water a aquarium heater 3 bricks a grill to put boxes on with eggs in

  • does this work for ball pythons?

  • umm were do you buy the heat pad?

  • the box that carries the eggs needs holes?

  • he isnt u R hes an average middle aged DUDE

  • dont u have to woory about the reptiles drowning in the water

  • yes

  • what do you have to put your reptile eggs in do you use vermickulite or poting soil so give me an answer what to do.

  • vermiculite has a better hatch ra tein my opinion

  • how much did your heat lamp cost?

  • i never heared of that this is a wonderful idea thanks cause i have ducks and they laid eggs a week ago so now i have ideas for an incubator

  • What panel would be good for chicken eggs? thanks

  • hi i was just wondering if the foam box would melt if you use a 15w ligh bulb inside it for 1 month?

  • hey nice vid. but where can i get a heater pad and all that stuff??

  • try ebay

  • any pet store

  • Hey, GREAT video.

I have my ziplock container floating on the water is that bad?

And i made a widow ontop so I had to put the heating pad on the bottom.. is this bad?

Also, Should the container that the eggs in be compeatly sealed?

  • I meant the side of the incubator, not the bottom

  • hey i have a important question. In the middle of the lid for the cooler or watervr it is can you cut out a piece and put plexiglass so i can see and would it be safer sticking it to the glass then just sticking it on the top ?pls answer

  • Yeah you can put the plexi in there. The heat pads do not get hot enough to burn the styro so its pretty safe.

  • do you sell the hatched reptiles to the shop, or do you give them away?

  • I give some away to friends and family members and some local people who demonstrate a knowledge and respect for the animals. I also sell wholesale to the local pet stores in my area.

  • check out my incubator about my dragons eggs and much much more ..............good luck if your using this POS detailed info on my channel

  • Can this home-made incubator hatch chicken eggs or other birds or just reptile eggs? I am going to hatch chicken eggs and I have the mini chick bator incubator. I don't know if it will work but I am going to give it a try. If that doesn't work I might build this incubator.

  • It can work for bird eggs too, but of course the difference in reptile and bird eggs is rotation. Bird eggs need to be rotated and reptile eggs should never be rotated.

  • but i am trying to breed bearded dragons and i just need to know if water is important in there

  • Water is very important. Water keeps the humidity up in the 75-90% range. Is keeps the eggs from drying out and keeps the hatching material from drying out. The hatch rate is about 97%. i have only lost 2 eggs total since using these and I produce over 150 a year.

  • wow! Thats good.

  • Where do you get dragon eggs..etc.?

  • I get the eggs from my dragons.

  • what was you you hatch percentage with that? was it pretty high and why do we need water. i have a reg. one but i dont have water in there.!

  • the water is very important in a chicken incubator, does something with the temp and the atmosphere lol

  • very cool i have to try this now

  • Excellent, thanks!!

  • How to write?

    0:32

  • Were can i get the humidity machine?

  • You can never have to many holes! LMAO. But other than that I loved the vid bro, Even got a laugh out of it. I make one similar to this for chickens and quials. I think since seeing yours I may make a few ajustments. THANKS! =D
