Ian is my favorite actor, not just because he is dynamite on the screen, but because he's a humble, down to earth, and polite guy. He's very supportive of younger people too. He usually does interviews with younger journalists instead of just sticking with the big-name celebrity journalists who probably don't even watch his films/shows/plays.

One of the most underrated actors. He deserves to be seen by the world in Pirates 4.. Long overdue exposure for Ian. :)

It turned out the homeless man was a huge fan of cinema, and especially great fan of McShane's work. McShane was so glad to have such a loyal fan that he promptly turned around, went back to the studio agreed to work on Death Race - on one condition.

The condition was that the homeless man was to co-star with him in the film. Thus, that is how Benz Antoine got a small role credited as "Joe's Navigator #1".

Fact: Ian McShane initially opted out of his role in this film. However, after walking out the studio, where he was speaking to the producers of this film, he encountered a homeless man on the streets. The homeless man recognised him from his previous films and started a conversation with him.
