I really wish I had this quality of lecture material when I was working on my Phd in the 60's. It is hard to believe this is being supplied free. It is incredibly understandable. Thank you Leonard Susskind and Stanford University.
Does anyone know where to find "Quantum Entanglements, Part 2"? Was it video-recorded? Only Part 1 and Part 3 are available on YouTube. StanfordUniversity did clarify that Part 2 "is unavailable at this time", but that was an year ago.
@Chronosaur I agree 100% (probability = 1) You have to laugh at the internet riff-raff sprinkled in with scientists and engineers. Susskind obviously had a cold or something during this lecture, but he still gutted it out. Who knows? Maybe jet lag from speaking at Cern for a week? This is the most awesome thing I've ever found on U-Tube. I had plans to comp an online QM class at a significant cost with a lessor instructor before I found this. Just sayin'...
I'm really liking this series. I have to watch each lecture twice but I'm really getting it now. I knew all my complex and vectors I just needed someone to spell out the simplicity of the bra-ket notation which Susskind has done admirably. I've been able to make up example matrices and vectors for binary 2-space and others and the bra-ket notation works beautifully. I think a projection operator can also be referred to more generally as an "outer product".

They need to provide the general public with reading materials, homework problems, solution sets, AND BETTER QUALITY AUDIO. Also, professors need to be told that PowerPoint slides exist, they should use them, they'd spend less time writing on the whiteboard.
are u really gunna say all that when ur getting to see a standford class for free? if u ask me they have done enough...however that audio was kinda messed up.
Dude, it's a *free* lecture, get over it. Homework problems would be nice, but if you want them, you'll just have to go pay and take a course there in person.
I for one feel extremely privilaged to have access to these brilliantly taught lectures, and I am actually using them to fortify my knowledge before heading into my theoretical astrophysics PhD.

I love physics! I always will. This could have been a good lecture if it was more audible.

zero charisma. i cannot learn from this professor. he should stick to peer reviewing and leave the lecturing to more dynamic physicists.

prof Susskind said he'd explain laser and no cloning theorem, seems like they didn't video tape it

Surprisingly harsh words going round for a physics lecture, I must say.
Lecture's pretty badass... I love youtube.
