just for some people who say they cant afford good pc if you whant to play stalker it isnt hard becose it has dx8 mode and very good pcs or laptops arent that expensive i would agree that a good laptop is but a stationary computer if you buy the components seperatly and build them it isnt expensive to have even a amazing one and building a computer isnt hard it takes a basic of a skill to make it

I'm too fooking poor for an amazing computer... my laptop has trouble watching youtube vids. Consoles have their place. I agree many of the games are tageted at retards who play halo action or gears of war 24/7. But games like Fallout or oblivion, Final fantasies, Metal gear all make it worth while. Dont crap so much on consoles they let poor game deprived people like me get my fix haha.

I know I may get crucified for this, but after playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R on my pc (a shit pc) with the graphical settings all turned down I have to say I wish they'd bring this out on consoles. After the success of Fallout 3 and New Vegas it's not like a game like this WOULDN'T sell well, not to mention consoles need more RPG style shooters (no, boarderlands doesn't count) like this. A great game series. Russia just seems to do them better.

Borderlands fits more into the RPG genre, than STALKER. giant STALKER fan but its in no way an RPG.

STALKER, imo, is a survival shooter,with elements of shock/horror. Borderlands fits more into the criteria with level,stat,weapon level, and weapon stats.

I love STALKER, but bringing it to consoles would be the death of it.

@ClappedWolf GSC are not new. They've made 3 STALKER games now. When they announced STALKER 2, they even said in the announcement that the only reason it's going on consoles as well as PC (PC first, then port to console) is because of how well it sold on PC.

PC gamers are not all pirates. That's just something shitty developers (Not GSC) use as an excuse instead of admitting the real reason PC games generally don't do so well. Draconian DRM schemes. Besides, games get pirated on console too.

@ClappedWolf Console gamers have such a limited attention span to just those types of games, ever since I became a PC gamer I've been stretching from games like Dwarf Fortress to games like STALKER here. Ever since the CoD fad came, the only way to be super succesful on a console is by either making an FPS with a decent trailer, or to be a widely known company.

@milosrale I'll be honest I loved Call Of pripyat more :D pripyat was more detailed and you didn't have random anomalies just laying there. What I hated with shadow of chernobyl was the loading screens to get to a place instead of walking but other than that the rest were god like!

Good that you share that with us, I did not know this. But since most people don't know these he just titled the video S.T.A.L.K.E.R songs so that people could find the songs easier. I think even though they are "real" songs, everyone enjoys them as much :)

I've read on IGN that GSC has S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in the making and its featuring a completely different engine. And heard rumors of things like multiplayer and no load times. The last two, I wouldn't hold my breath on. But they've stated a release date of 2012 or 13, I can't remember which one. Go check it out and track that shit. Can't wait til it comes out though. I remember my first time playing Shadow of Chernobyl, the first night in the zone. There were bloodsuckers everywhere, and I was nearly drained of all healing supplies and ammo. However, I heard a guitar off in the distance, followed the source, and found a lone stalker, playing his heart away. I stayed with him that night, but when I came back later to find him, I found he had been killed.

Such is life in the zone.

I love these whenever I get the chance in the game to hear them I stop what Im doing and sit down and just relax. I just forget all the shooting, the killing, radiation, anomlies, and of course the mutants. I mean in no other game would I do anything like that EXCEPT in this one.

@patrikasLTL Really? I thought some of them were based on a song written and performed by Firelake, since a lot of them sound like that song on the soundtrack called "Against the ionized odds". In fact, upon further listening, you can hear a lot of the guitar parts from the game in their songs on the soundtrack.

I can recomend Gothic games for you, exept the third one. It also have the campfire feeling, and many other things. Actually it just a "middle age" version of Stalker, the story is also similar.

I love how they put this into the game.

I hate going out into the night in this game because I literally can't see like five feet in front of myself, and I rarely find a suit with decent nightvision because I use the other kind of upgrades, so this music is perfect to pass the time until morning.
