  • Hi, About your wonderful hair, if you do want to keep it long, you could do a twist or a knot of some kind. It is fast and easy, can look fancy, and is great at the gym.My daughter uses chopsticks in her hair sometimes. They don't stay in all day,but it is cute,and it is a conversation starter. Layers would be nice too. You look very strong to me. Keep up the good work!

  • hey,you can cut your hair in layers.u won't have to get it cut short and it will make it looker thicker.Keep going! it's best to go to the gym at the same time every day.it gets to be a habit.If you stop for awhile put it on the calender and see how many days you've got to slack off : ) good job.hope u are feeling happy and healthy.

  • I don't go to the gym either...too much like work. I usually walk - 30 minutes a day and that really helped with the sore back and clearing the cobwebs!!

    30 pounds lost is amazing. Stack 30 pounds of potatoes on a table and you'll really be amazed at how much it really is. Good for you.

You should be very proud of that and of yourself in general.You are working very hard to lose weight and I am PROUD of you.You have inspired me...as I too am overweight by about 40 pounds. My problem is not enough exercise-even with my four dogs, lol. I make poor choices in food sometimes but I don't beat myself up over it; I just do better at the next meal.   • About your hair, you should get medium length layers put in. Keep the original length but some layers cut into it. Some nice golden highlights would look great on you as well.:)

  • I know that this is about 2 years later, but I recommend doing a colon cleanse. (Dual Action cleanse because they have a box of green tea fat burning pills and it makes you much, much more energetic). My advice is if you decide to purchase it, to buy it from walmart so it's $20. If you buy it from a pharmacy like CVS, it'll be 40. But the cleanse helped inspire me to lose weight. I've lost about 25 pounds in the last two months! Just eat healthy so the weight doesn't come back. Goodluck!

  • very encouraging. I'm a 25 year male at 6'2 and just a month ago I weighed in at 330 lbs. I was shocked and scared and everywhere I went I had people constantly staring at me. I managed to get down to 290 in just a month. I still have a way to go but already I'm looking alot thinner and feeling alot better.

So, i think, if this is ok with you.... you could trim about half an inch off, and Maybe wear it in a cute hairdo! For example, Fishtail braid, high ponytail, messy bun. And lastly, you could get some curling spray and spray it on. It would be very pretty!

  • What would she learn by weighing every day? Monday = still heavy. Tuesday = still heavy, etc, etc. She doesn't need a scale to tell her that.

    Joan, focus on cardio. It doesn't matter what, as long as you break a sweat non-stop for 30+ min/day. Do a variety of activities so it never gets boring. EX: I know you like meditating in nature. Find a special place that's also a pain in the ass hike to get to. Also, do you swim? It's a great overall workout and easy on the knees.

  • U should weigh ur self daily. First thing in the morning is best. U need to know where u stand. You wouldnt drive a car for a week without looking out the windshield, or the gas gauge, would you?

  • I will never weigh myself daily. It isn't about the # on the scale 4 me. Yes, I need 2 step on it ocassionally 2 make sure I M not fooling myself into thinking I M making progress, but not every day. As long as I M feeling better, eating the way I know is right 4 me & becoming more mobile, that is what is important 2 me, not that #. I drive the car for 3000-5000 miles B 4 I change the oil or do a check up. It is all in the perspective that is right 4 U. TY 4 the comment. God Bless!

    Weighing one's self everyday when one is obese is a recipe for discouragement. I advise not allowing the scale to be a monster, but a help. Tape measuring is a better way alongside the scale for determining weight loss. I lost 140 pounds and had certain weeks where there was no loss shown, yet my I was getting smaller and my close looser. I was working out and gaining muscle so the tape measure and weighing perhaps every two weeks is more of a motivator for the overweight.

Our bodies change with age, but who cares if we have some junk in our trunk. If U R happy with U, then don't do it unless you feel you need 2. Who cares what "society" thinks! I M doing it for my health & fitness.

  • It's taken 20 yrs 2 work thru many things 2 bring me here. I M not doing anything in particular. I eat when hungry & stop when full. I try 2 eat healthy, & not 2 late at night. I have been working out more. I try 2 stay away from processed food & carbs; whole grains instead. I WILL NOT eat if I M upset or emotional about something.....did that for 2 long. My food obsession is gone & I just use it as fuel now, as it should B. Watch my videos. I've been putting it all in 2 action.

    The first stages are the hardest, and soon the weight will drop like that.

  • I think you should cut it along your jawline. This past year, I cut 30 inches off. I have always had very long, bleach blond hair. I now have a spikey, pixie cut. I LOVE it. It is so much easier and more comfortable. You are right though. Many men love long hair. However, I am over men, so that was not my concern. LOL LOL I am glad things are going well for you!! :-)
