@txtluva Nice catch but I have caught a lot more eels than you could even dream of and believe me that last one on the tape was as big as your 10 kilo one. I used to live in Westport as a kid and loved to catch the big ones with some of them bigger than I was, Eels are great fun to catch and it wasn't unusual to catch 20-30 in a day.
@202ToranaMan yea i used to in year 9 (3rd form) go out before school and catch them although they were baby ones. so this the biggest me and ma mate have caught, we have filited it up and each filit is about 3 - 4 kilo

those not even that big yesterday me and ma mate caught a 1.5 meter eel that was 10kilo in christchurch

Its a river about a mile from the mouth on a lovely calm summers days, you can see a small beach in the background as the water is salty :)
