oh, jennifer jones speaking such trashy lines...far from the oscar-winning performance as virginal maid seeing the godly vision in THE SONG OF BERNADETTE. very sad for miss jones here.
I never knew Lou Rawls appeared in this b-flick. If n.e.1 has the 1969 tv spot of both "Angel,Angel,Down We Go" n' the 1971 re-release tv spot of this 1,please post both of 'em asap.
the sad decline oif jenneifer jones in a desperate bid to keep her name above the title, thanks to baby jane in 1962 many great movie queens were revived in dreadful ( but highly enjoyable) shockers like this, jennefer`s entry is a nominal entry in the genre, but isnt it fun seeing sister bernadette as an aging stag star!!
jennefer did one more outing after this, falling out the lift in towering inferno,,
I bet there was nothing even like a "cult" in this movie, just some Hollywood-style "daring" counterculture stuff, to judge by its original trailer when it was called "Angel, Angel, Down We Go".
angel, angel, down we go was origonal name of this clunker. aip released it, after no other studio wanted it. holly near wound up by 1980s as some commi folk singer.
is lou rawls talkin bout black dick when he says 'black is better baby.'

Awesome title and song...but, MEH. I was hoping for something more along the lines of "Satan's Blood".

This is also known as 'Angel Angel Down we Go' from 1969. See Youtube for the trailer. I love this kinda trash. Robbie.
