where do you get that type of dessicate, mine is too bulky and is intended for a much larger safe than what ive got. Its the size of a small paint can.
so i was just wondering if primers go bad over time. like if you stored it in a vacum packed milar bag so no air or mositer could get to the ammo. would the primer "expire" so to speak over time???
Somewhere in my memory I learned that it is not good to apply petroleum based products to rubber. So, not sure applying Vaseline to the rubber seal on the ammo can is a good idea. Even if it wont hurt, I doubt it does any good. If it did I would think the manufacturer of the ammo can or the military would apply it too,
@fletcher3913 your right on about this petroleom products degrade rubber over time, hence if you have an oil leak on your car i can cause other leaks in the colling system if oil contact the rubber components and is left over time. good video though.
@fletcher3913 petroleum jelly can melt natural rubber, but modern o-rings are made of neoprene so they shouldn't be affected. If this concerns you i would use silicone grease or white grease as an alternate. Hope that helps.
can you use salt ?

You can also put uncooked rice in with the ammo to absorb moisture.

Those reusable silica packs are cool, might look into grabbing some

The energy and the cost for renewing the silicon maybe makes it just as good as to buy new ones? 300 C for 3 hours? Thats a lot of amp.
