I don't think he looks that bad for 49. His hair is just shot from decades of teasing an hairspray. He voice hasn't changed a bit. Unlike other musicians, he doesn't need to drop the octaves on his older songs cause he can't hit the notes anymore. The Cure was the best concert I've ever seen.

Me pregunto por que Robert ya no usa la Fender VI ? era la que daba el sonido caracteristico de todo el disco Disintegration, para mi mucho mejor que la Schecter que usa actualmente

Por que el sonido del Fender Vi, no es el sonido de Disintegration, Robert le cambio las cuerdas y la convirtio en una guitarra comun, (lo mismo hizo con el Schecter VI) el sonido de Disintegration, que todo piensan que es un Bass Vi tocado por Robert, es un bajo EB MusicMan Stingray con las cuerdas muy bajas tocado por Simon.

En mi opinion Disintegration es mas el efecto que da el bajo con los teclado, pero esa es mi opinion, y si Robert trae el VI pero suena muy agudo como te decia le puso cuerdas normales de guitarra, el bass vi es un bajo afinado como guitarra.

claro los teclados siempre fueron parte importante de the cure, no es lo mismo sin teclados y el bajo q mencionas es de mis favoritos sobre todo la version de faith en orange en 1986 suena muy bien...

esperemos q algun dia a robert se le ocurra poner teclados en vivo y haga algo con la bateria..

El tipo es buen baterista. Pero el drum-kit o drum-set que usa es malísimo. El sonido es taaaaan pero taaan débil. Incluso en The Only One Jason toca muy bien... pero no se nota. A diferencia de High, que tiene una percusión, digamos, del estilo/línea de The Only One... en High se nota la batería, se escucha FUERTE pero medido. Pero en las canciones con Jason no es así.

Yo digo que es mal baterista y claro nunca he visto un par de VAQUETAS. Las que si he visto han sido BAQUETAS.

Boris es mucho mejor que Jason! Si escucharamos solamente la batería sin los otros instrumentos podríamos reconocer Just Like Heaven, The Kiss, Push, Kyoto, Close to me, Sinking, Prayers for rain, Untitled, Plainsong, ETC.

ESO es dejar huella en una banda y dejar un sello personal. Algo que no tiene Jason que toca como una amateur acompañando tontamente al resto.

Uf! es verdad gracias por corregir mi error ortográfico. Por otra parte deVerías de escuchar mas que dos discos de the cure, Voris es Vueno tiene todo un estilo y me encanta como Vaterista. Pero no lo creo superior a Jason sino simplemente con otro estilo mucho mas cercano al pop, con ritmos en el Vassdrum muchos mas complejos. Jason juega mas con los platillos. Como dije sin ánimo de ofender, escuchá mas The Cure (si tambien los V-sides)

2. Soy fan de The Cure desd el 84 con, muchos años antes de que tú escucharas algo de la banda.

3. Boris es superior porque con su estilo pudo inspirar a Robert a hacer Just Like Heaven (lee Wikipedia), porque su talento fue reconocido por Modern Drummer y sus patrones de batería fueron materia de estudio ahí en donde imprimieron las partituras y las comentaron. Su sonido es mejor, compuso Burn junto a Robert y no sigo porque ya excedo limite.

@noisyrag Jason is Robert's puppet. He'll never ever top Williams, and nobody else will. Too bad for all Cure's drummers 'cause they're all doomed to be Boris' shadows. He gave Cure's characteristic sound to all albums he was involved in. I can't imagine albums like "The head on the door, KissmeX3, Disintegration or Wish" without him, to mention some. Also Porl Thomson was a genius who put Cure on the top. Curiously enuff, Cure after 1996 is almost crappy as much as I luv them!
