because the look of it is different , hard to explain , but for example with the nasalang you'll always see a bit of the bar the jewelry has because it's at an 90° angle with your nosebone , while nostrils are often at a sharper angle so you only see the ball or the stud of the jewelry ...

I'm not going to lie it hurt, but I had two things going for me when it got done. I had an extremely large wound on my leg and I have a high tolerance for pain. They go through the soft tissue and yes it hurts gauging it and It's advisable to keep something in there becuase the hole closes up very fast
