i've been thinking about getting one but the website sucks at describing the differences between the different types. When you get a chance could you please send me a message explaining some? I'm mostly interested in the one you have. I also saw they have a purple one and a pink one (which you said in your video is just cordless).
i cant decide if i should get the purple one or the red one some one helllp pleeaassee lol i like the red one cause it would be faster but then again i like the purple one cause where the blades/tweezers are, are smaller uugh lol anyone please add your input as to which one :)
i personally do not recommend taking a shower or getting wet after epilating or waxing. Because the pores are still open. You have to let the skin relax for a while. Or else you will have chicken skin, like goose bumps. And to minimize the ingrown hairs, you have to exfoliate and put lotion so as to soften the skin.
honestly, when I first started epilating I had a ridiculous amount of ingrown hairs but then as I got use to it I figured out the trick to it is to constantly exfoliate your legs and now I get only a few ingrown hairs which I just tweeze out.
From my experience, I have always tweezed my armpits so if your comparing it to tweezing then it does not give such great results. It does work well on longer, thicker hairs. I personally know a lot of people who epilate their armpits and love it but if your not careful it pinches the skin.
I have never even thought to tweeze my armpits. I don't know if I have the patience for all that. How long does that take? How long do the hairs have to be to do that?
Yeah, it sounds way more intimidating than it is. I have got it down to 15 minutes per side and I can bang it out while watching TV. Honestly, in the beginning after yrs. of shaving the hairs are way thicker and more of them. After you tweeze for a while the hairs will grow back slower (tweeze once ever like 2 weeks) and they will be WAY thinner and the beauty is no length is too short to start...i pluck hairs not even out of the pore yet sometimes.
It can be used on the bikini area BUT, I should mention that you should only use it on short hair (1/8 inch) because long hairs will just break instead of being removed from the root.
yeah I did because the auction was over but, I just added a new link to the seller's store...they sell a lot of Emjoi products at reasonable prices and its free shipping
thanks for the info, but i was wondering if you knew what the difference is between the soft caress gold (the light blue one or the purple one) and the light caress gold (the one you have or the pink one)
hi, yeah there is no major difference between the two in terms of performance. The regular soft caress gold one is actually an older model of the one I own and the new one is a little lighter in weight than the older one so it gives a bit more control. In my opinion whichever one you can get for cheaper you should get.
great review! i just bought a remington one and im waiting for it to charge so i can use it tmrw. the instructions say to epilate in small, circular motions?? i was under the impression that i could just run it up in a straight line and it would work fine. do you have any recommendations on that? also, should i put a towel under myself bc loose hairs come flying out or is that not a problem with the epilator? thanks in advance for your advice!
thanks! you can just go up and down your leg but, a problem with that is you tend to miss shorter hairs that way. A rule I like to use is if the hairs are longer I can go up and down but, if the hairs are shorter than I like to go in circles (it gives you the best results by going in circles). Also, yes you need to put something down I recommend newspaper so you can throw it out. I plan on making a epilating demo soon so look out for that.
i tried out my epilator! moving it in small circles does work better. mine tends to clip off the hair before it really pulls it out. weird, eh? btw the armpits hurt soo bad ugh. can't wait for your demo! perhaps you can give advice on epilating different body parts?
yeah if you have thicker hair it does break a little in the beginning but as you continue to use it you will see better results...you may even start to get a few in grown hairs but don't worry its natural. I will definitely try to post how to epilate different parts of your body.
But you're Asian, you probably barely have any body hair. I'm a hairy Mexican and my hair is THICK, and I'm sure it would be unbearable.

I have a few questions anyone that uses this epliator:
1.Does it cause ingrown hairs? If so, a lot or just a few?
2. How long does it take for the hair to grow back?
3. Does the hair grow back thinner?
m00035 1 year ago
@m00035
1. No you shouldn't have ingrown hairs its like waxing.
2. It depends on your hair cycle but a week or so
3. after a while hair should grow back thinner

Hi, do i exfoliate before or after epilating? Thanks.
XDAngeLover2YaXD 1 year ago
@XDAngeLover2YaXD Before, and daily after. You want to keep the area smooth so ingrowns don't happen.

@disney238 she said the difference was the blue one has to be plugged in and is cheaper
Nestlechocolate123 1 year ago
I have a pink one, and you don't have to plug it in order for it to work...I guess thats the difference between the tiel and pink ok.

what were the other epilators tht u tried?
UROCKMYSOX249 2 years ago
The other ones I tried were from the drugstore...one was by Philips and the other by Braun. They were not as good as Emjoi in my opinion.
