can anyone tell me why the symbiote had a different affect on peter than of brock? i'm guessing that b/c peter had the suit on w/ the symbiote on top, that's why he didn't have the weird looking teeth and buff body. the symbiote got on brock's bare skin so maybe that's why? idk. reply if you do.

because that's how it always was....in the comincs AND the cartoon..if they gave spiderman a mouth with fangs he would look menacing and not like a hero...simply as that. People try to give some sort of technical reason, but in reality it comes down to the design teams choice :P In the comics peter wasnt wearing a mask when the symbiote went on him but he still had no mouth, and same with the cartoons. It s about inner thoughts which causes the appearance to change.

Spidey thought it was just another costume, but when it bonded to Eddie... some writers showed it reacting to Brock's hatred of Peter and growing the mouth, others had Eddie telling it to grow the mouth to seperate himself from Spider-Man, others had it growing the mouth for the sake of growing it, others because of what both it and Eddie wanted to do to Peter's viscera. It's anyone's guess, I guess. Venom was buff because Eddie was buff.

Isn't it convenient that when spidey gets the symbiote he fights the sandman, hes the only one he could grind his face against a train. That would have been messy otherwise.
