just bought a 97 gtp aout 2 months ago, and im so glad i got this over a v6 camaro(insurance on a v8 at 17 was not an option) i love my car though, just wish i had more money to put into it. Also, i love the space in the back seat even with a 2 door.

Blew the tranny in Feb, fixed it like two months ago, poor car sat for for 5 months. And when the motor goes, Im gonna rip that out and rebuild it.
My 98 GTP has 205,000 miles on it. Runs 14.0's at 98-99 MPH. Its no longer my daily driver. I cant let my GTP go. I have had it since new. This vid almost brought tears to my eyes. The torque output cannot be matched by any other V6 car in production. If you have never owned one of these cars, BORROW one for a week. I have tranny problems also. I will replace the tranny and drive it until it spins a bearing!
Are you serious? I have a 2000 GTP and love it too but the torque value has been met.... and surpassed increadly by a car built ..um like 20 years ago. Its called a Buick Grand National. V6 power, 255 HP and 355 Tq STOCK! Dont get me wrong, after 177K miles on my GTP and running 12's in the 1/4 for like 4 years now I love my car (12SECGP do a search), but my GN will be way faster with less mods. Just figure I'd inform you.
I know the GN is faster and "torqier" than the GTP. I said "The torque output cannot be matched by any other V6 car in production". I should have said "currently in production".
tybong... go sit and starbucks and count the honda civics that pass by the road in front,... not all hondas in general... just civics( i counted over a hundred in 10 minutes)...don't knock the better option in cars

For mods, it had a 3.5" supercharger pulley with a ported blower case, machined lower intake manifold, custom fenderwell intake, 3" downpipe with no cat or ubend, and I had custom tuned the car with a DHP PowrTuner...nothing too crazy.

ah, I sold it, it was having transmission problems, and a friend was wanting to get one to build the transmission and go turbo....I got an SRT-4 to replace it...I made the video when I didn't have a car, had to bum rides for ~2 weeks...was missing it at the time lol
