  • I traded a 2006 Dodge dually in on this 2006 car(5.7) in Sept. The ride is not as smooth as I would like but the handling and acceleration is very very good. It handles like a smaller car. I have not gotten anywhere near 17mpg city which makes me think there's something amiss.

    This is my first Hemi and it is everything it was touted to be. HOWEVER, I would wish for a strong diesel like the BMW or Mercedes to drop in. But other than the mileage it's all good. I LOVE driving this car! :D

  • @dieseldog00 did you know that the 300c has a feature where when the cruise control is activated it disables 4 of the 8 cylinders?

  • @wereninja22 Yes I know that. That feature rarely works in city driving though. It works on the hwy but only on level ground. If the accelerator has to be engaged the engine will go back to 8 cylinders.

    As I said, I have yet to see 17mpg in city driving, mainly 10-12, but others have said that's what I should be getting. I think I will have it put on a scanner to see if there's a problem.

  • the 3.5 v6 is underrated, it's awesome, sounds great with decent economy plus in Australia we get our 300c's shipped in from Gratz Austria so they get awesome build quality.

I own a BMW M5 & a Chry 300C SRT8. The M5 is bloody fast & nearly useless as a car, but the SRT8 does it all very well.

  • I live in the U.S. and I have a 2.7L V6 300 Rwd. It is actually really fun to drive. I like the way how easy it is to control and steer. One thing I have to complain about is that I think there is traction control on my car and I can't turn it off. I can't burn out hardly at all. All that happens is a little chirp from the tires and that's it. Another thing is the back window and C pillars. How the hell are you supposed to see backing up? Oh, well. Other than those problems, love my car.

  • I have the backup assist by my back window that helps for that!! As for the ESP killing the burnouts, press and hold down the ESP button for 5 seconds. It should chime and your ESP BAS lights should come on killing the traction control 100 percent. Note that this also kills your ABS!!! Or you could get a DiabloSport Predator programmer and disable it, and also add some grunt to the motor

  • as dbyers said, pressing the traction control button once simply lessens the assistance from traction control...holding it down completely disables it. However, I've driven the 2.7 as a rental, and it will be tough to get more than a chirp regardless - it's a 4000lb car with 180hp.

  • That is not bad fuel range I got the v6 3.5HO and im returning around just under 600 km to a tank of fuel. I own a charger next time I might get a 300C or maybe a Charger r/t I love these two cars with such a nice ride on hwy and ya love em!

  • The ride is smooth like your riding on clouds. THe gears shift confident and at 120km.h is about 2100 rpm in 5th gear. Remember these cars charger,300/c and magnum are all based off the Mercedes E class sedian chasis. The cars have a independent rear suspension and rear wheel drive. You say sporty in corners its not very tight it is a little loose which gives the smooth ride. If it was harder be more firm in corners but does quite well considering the size of the car.

  • Yes the European cars may handle better but if your buying a car is this class chances are you won't be pushing it hard into corners. The most demanding this you'll be doing is speeding on the freeway and this car has more power than you'll ever need. Its comfortable, has ample space and looks great. What more could you ask for?

  • The fact that the 300C is repeatedly compared to vastly more expensive limited production performance sedans speaks volumes about how good it actually is & how good the deal is.

    I have owned many imported & domestic cars & I can pretty much afford what I want. I currently own an '05 300C & an '08 SRT8. They are by far the best combo of go, comfort and price that I have ever seen in the market.

    My 05 has 200k on it & I would normally have long ago replaced it, but it is still perfect.
