I stopped blindly wishing for anything as a very young boy. Often,on school nights, when the TV weatherman said it was going to snow, I would stand at the door looking through the hot breath misty glass, eyes piercing upward searching the sky,stopping ABRUPTLY at the street corner night post. I wished, my eyes painfully sweeping the the sky, over and over again, never resting upon single snow flake,until the darkness invaded my soul.
