  • Getting this. Yes.

  • Love this video.

  • this video is so cute and chessy and awesome at the same time. LIKE BUTTON!

  • Twitter @HermyVIP

  • Is the 'how-to-hair' content of this dvd, the tutorials that are on youtube please?

  • Betina is a very classic traditional pinup and Amy is a very modern pinup. I think it's great that these two could come together and share their very different styles to create something rather lovely. It's good for everyone to be able to see the different styles of pinup you can do and not limit yourself to just one look.

  • This is cute!! very cool!

  • @TheStarface09 Thank you! I sure will :)

  • I dont think that things "evolve" just like that @bossyboots420 I think that both, the classic and the temporary style are perfect examples for the pin-up universe, but it just has to be subcategorized as Vintage and Rockabilly (I guess you all understand what which one is) both have different body-types, different poses, but they all have the same function, to be sexy, fun and something and artist would take a picture or make a painting... so stop the hate everyone!

  • Wow @Apezy321 who are you to even judge...I can't believe even 10 people agreed with you! What the hell is wrong with having tattoos and piercings and still being a pin-up?!Women had way different roles in society back in those days... I'm glad we have options now... and now that we have more options and freedom in our everyday lives, who has time for traditional techniques of doing everything? The important thing here, I think, is the passion and love that goes into it.Don't pick at people...

  • @Sphinxsriddle Im not picking, only saying :)

  • What a pity I can't get the DVD via Amazon.com. I am at home in Austria (Europe) and the shipping and toll would be several times the price of the DVD, which makes it quite impossible for me to get it :o(

poor me - your style would so so suit me...

  • I would pin u up.

  • i cant be a pinup model im too hispanic lol

  • Meins ist heute gekommen <3 <3 <3

  • yay for the sexy rockability pinups

  • if i need a costume of a women in the 40's should i go for this look ? and if not can anybody reccomend me on something ?

  • seen lots of similar looking pin ups in books on history of tattoos.

i love modern pin ups! =)

  • I think the classic pinup and modern pinup are both beautiful! I just love to see people adapting to the style, even if they have their own take on it. I personally don't have tattoos or anything pierced besides my ears because I want to channel the more classic look, but some people really know how to find beauty in the alternative pinup look!

  • I don't care what the bickering of them not being "true pinups" is. I think they're beautiful and freaking fabulous.

  • Those tattoos are not pin-up!

  • Who cares if they're not the same as the one's in the 40's or 50's, it would just be boring if everybody followed one style. Get over it, it's in the past, change is always for the better. Tattooed up gals' are gorgeous and their body art is amazing, MOST girls can't pull off at that style.. stop living in the past.

  • they are the pin-ups of today! ..way more vibrant and fun.

why should they be the same as they were in the past?

things evolve! more tattoos, more color, more sexy.

    they are beautiful <3

  • @bossyboots420 I would only argue you on the "more sexy" part. Pin ups of old can still hold their own (their photos, obviously). That's why they're emulated.

  • @bossyboots420 NOBODY EVER SAID PINUPS HAD TO HAVE A SPECIFIC LOOK IDK WHY ALL THESE PPL ARE HATING .. USUALLY THE ONES NOT BOLD/BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS

  • @bossyboots420 I love the pin-up look! Did they have the ink back then though?

  • @DaisyRock14 some did. but it was more for carnie sideshows and not as frequent as it is today.... i think

  • @bossyboots420 because thats a totally different style of pin up...this is more glamorous...where others that you'd seen in male mags and what not are more sex appeal/slutty sometimes...both pin up but this is vintage

  • Is it just me...or do these girls seem really nervous and not so good at explaining some of their tips and tricks?

  • I love pin up. It's all about being beautiful and feminine, no matter what you look like. Curves are gorgeous! I also love how it embodies feminism and the art of tease. It's knowing your body and that it's a temple. Gorgeous!

  • Vintage pinups were breaking the mold of then-modern society with their looks. It then took off and other every-day ladies started doing it. Modern pinups are doing the same thing. And for the most part now-a-days, NOT having a tattoo or piercing is less common than having them. A tip of the hat to the past doesn't mean you have to do everything like they did. We'd be stuck in an awful rut if that were the case.

  • Accentuate her hourglass?! What hourglass. She's a twig.

  • Thinking about ordering this dvd, is it worth it? Does anyone know? I mean, it looks wonderful so far! (:

  • I just want yall to know that I purchased this video about 9 months ago (almost a year ago) and I love it!!!! I hope ya'll do future dvds. Beautiful!

  • I LOVE redheads! Great tutorial! Thank you both!!! : )

  • Oh hello! Have you considered the maximus muscle 247 workout (google it)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend gained a lot of muscle with it.

  • @For3veRr "...my friend gained a lot of muscle with it." Oh, yikeso-yucko! Perish the thought! Freshman year of high school I faked a bad weightlifting accident and injury to get me excused entirely from PE weight training (which it did...worked like a charm!) because, as per my personal motto: "Muscles don't look good in a dress!" At 5'7", 85 lbs, hair down to just past my shoulders, able to corset down to a 24" waist, visible muscles would have ruined my quest for extreme girlish femininity!

  • Damn they're acting like I'm joining a cult or something..

  • @musicmaniac95 It's not a cult- it's a way of life for those who enjoy the '50's!

  • @MrGotsquashed Haha oh I enjoy the 50's, it was just the beginning that made me laugh because it sounded like an introduction video to a new religion or cult. haha It just made me laugh.

  • you both are so beautiful! :)

  • how is go go amys hair dyed!<3 i love it

  • i'm sorry, much love to these chicks.. especially Go Go Amy... but.. honey, you need to fix thst eyeliner... does not look good. i do love everything you girls do<3

  • I want the embroidered dress in every color!

  • @tkmaz -Me again - hoping you'll see this. I have been searching vintage online like crazy for your embroidered dress with no luck! Can you give me the "style" or dress type to search? Or if it's a reproduction can you give the site or shop name? I've been dreaming of this dress!

  • Is it possible for me to be a pin up girl? Im not skinny enough to model into those pretty clothes. Im a size 14. And i do not have a smooth hair. So is it still possible? I really want to look this way. But from all the pin ups model since the 40's, all of them is so skinny. So im just afraid that if i dressed as one, i looked like a orange :/

  • @letsoGAGA

You can't know until you try :-)

  • @sexymomma1966 :') Thanks

  • I love Bettina-shes such a nice person! This video is fab! Anyone want to see a vintage inspired pinup just type PinupMama on Facebook!

  • Todays "pin up" models are so unlike traditional and real pin up models....todays have have all the same things virtually, tattoos, brightly died hair (normally red) are sort of punky and sometimes have alot of piercings. No original 40's and 50's pinups had any of this! If women did have these things back then, they would definitely not be pin ups! So it amazes me how this women can call themselves pin up models. Maybe a modern day twist...but to me..not the same and worlds apart.

  • @Apezy321 Of course it's a modern twist...you do realize it's 2011 right? I like it and done right it can be a lot of fun...besides it's a way for women to finally own it rather than be owned by it just to make a buck when all the jobs went to men except when a war broke out...go figure!

  • @Apezy321

    I completely agree with you.

  • @Apezy321 The clothing, hair, makeup, poses, photography are all pin up inspired, obviously it's 2011 now and the times have changed... Drastically! Not ALL modern pin up models adhere to the "rockabilly" style. If you're unfamiliar with rockabilly culture, I advise you to look it up. The fashion of the 40s & 50s collided with modern day punk and created a wonderful balance of elegant yet edgy glamour. I understand its not for all, but that certainly doesn't make it any less pin up.

  • @Aitcl Yes i know perfectly wel that these women are inspired by tradition 40's and 50's pin ups, all im saying is that for me personaly and for many other people, i have no i idea why they call themselves pin ups?! I do know that it is 2011 surprisingly enough nd tht this is a modrn day twist, so i think they should call themselves modrn day pin ups. Because thats what they are. The culture of punk and pinup is a twist which i think goes very wel together actually, but its certainly not pinup .

  • @Apezy321 Yes, in fact, it certainly is pin up. Styles evolve over time. It's NOT a completely different style. Why say "modern pin up"? All that's doing is pointing out the obvious - that today are modern times. Punk has changed over the years, so we don't call punkers "modern day punkers". You just simply don't. You don't like this style of pin up? Good for you. Go find yourself some vintage photos. Sorry kid, but no matter what you want to believe this IS the pin up of today.

  • @Aitcl Ha right...

Like i said...i know this is the pin up of today..i do live in the modern day actually. But it is just my opinion that they are not proper pin ups. I know plenty about pin ups of the past and present and was merely expressing my opinion. It does make me laugh when people like you get so defensive about it...just because that is your way of thinking...its not everyone elses.

  • @Apezy321 i suppose they should have titled the video modern pin up as opposed to advertisting towards an authentic pin up....i agree, they arent traditional pin ups, they should explain that modern pinups stem from authentic pin up style and techniques and touch on the history of where it all started....

  • @Apezy321 Although I like both the 40's/50's pinup & the modern day pinup style, I absolutely agree with everything you said!

  • @hollyannewesley Well i couldnt agree more i love both the modern day take on pinups and the classic pin up love gorgeous! Thank you!

  • @Apezy321 unf <3 I love your comment! I myself am getting into modeling, and even took out my piercings and don't want tattoos just so I can replicate the 40's/50's look better in not only modeling, but every day style of mine. Modern pin ups are more... rockabilly styled but still gorgeous, but not true pin ups to me D:

  • @TheZombiet Thank you very much! I think Modern rockabilly pin ups are gorgeous..no doubt about that! Love seriously..just thank you so much for you comment! I have been getting a lot of stick from only a couple people about my comment but seriously i am in titled to my opinion, view, statement whatever you want to call it. So it is refreshing to here some people share the same views! So thank you! Hope modeling goes amazing for you! <3

  • @Apezy321 I have to agree with you, but Rockabilly is more like a edgy type of pin-up, not classic. My issue isn't the tats, mine is the body! Pin-up women had curves with full bust and thighs. These women too me don't have the body type. I don't like the idea of any body thinking they can be pin-up by just a hairstyle, cat eye makeup, clothes and coy poses. Back then you had to be something else to be considered a pin-up!

  • @pumkinpie27 Thank you its nice to hear from like minded people! <3

  • @pumkinpie27 it's my opinion that being a "pin up" doesn't necessarily depend on body type, but the personality you're able to present with merely a look or a twist of the hips. The one true thing that pin ups shared (again, my opinion) is their ability to look both coy and flirtatious all at once.

  • @xAislynnx thats it? So the modern standards must have really watered down "pin-up" style then.

  • @Apezy321 nothing is going to be the same that many years later, it just happens to be the kind of 'group' that appreciates that kind of beauty. i def understandwhat youre saying tho, a lot of times they are girls with lots of tattoos posing in car magazines or something, virtually the same things... but still its good to know SOMEONE appreciates the pin up style even if they do cater it to their personal style!

  • @Apezy321 I agree!!! i love the old school pin up myself...check out my video..that is what i try and capture......

  • @Apezy321 if you have any sense of fashion & of time... u will realize that many fashion designers/artsts "recycle" these fashion trends, they DO NOT replicate them. This goes for hair, clothing, haircuts, makeup etc. therefore the looks are not going to be the same. I will hope you realize this. If the same exact fashion trends got recycled with the same style of clothing same style of hair etc then it would be boring and no need to invent anything new.

  • @adrianarulz Not to mention lifestyle has chaged and with this so had our ideas of what we consider "modern"most of the women back then did not have tattoos i agree or did they?( whose to say they didnt have them covered?) but most of the women back then didnt have much voice either and or the opportunities to have more freedom to do whatever they want with their bodies i say why hate on the new, why not embrace it? LIFE IS A CYLE BUT IT IS DIFFERENT EACH TIME AROUND this applies to evetyhing!

  • @adrianarulz Ok then :)

  • @Apezy32 woman of that time getting full body tattoo's. Woman of the time were also bisexual. They were nudists. They were feminists. They were sexual deviants. They were angry, messy, drug addicted, alcoholics and they swore. They were mothers, wife's, daughters, pin up models and the like. They were and always will be.

  • @TheMerrow3 I know all that :)

  • @Apezy321 There are very few who replicate it exactly....check out Dita Von Teese perhaps you'll be pleased! <3

  • @faerywitchful1 I know i love her! <3

  • I love the hair! It's sooo red lol very eye catching.

  • Where or how do you get your nails done like that so cute!

  • can you be thin an be a pinup model? i think ill try ahaha

  • @chroniclesofhensley

The photographs they've shown before the actual video didn't look very provocative to me. Are you blind or are you just blind?

  • @peachyteese Not provocative? Are you fucking retarded? How many times were you dropped on your head when you were a kid. Look at the slutty outfits, the whorish makeup!! You don't know what your talking about loser.

  • @chroniclesofhensley calm your tittes lol you look like an asshole

  • @chroniclesofhensley

Mate, it's not the 18th century. Women are allowed to wear what they want and do their makeup as they chose. I feel sorry for you because you are so closed-minded and ignorant. I bet you don't walk down the street telling girls to cover up if they're wearing shorts do you? So you do it on the internet because you're afraid and a total loser. No one wants your bigoted mindset, wake up and open your eyes to the real world buddy.

  • @chroniclesofhensley Because you make such a lovely addition to society, yeah?

Didn't you're mother ever tell you "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"?

  • @chroniclesofhensley You sound like a god fearing chronic masterbator lol Your guilt is eating you up isn't it? Bless.

  • @chroniclesofhensley Wow, you're a dumbass.

  • @emilytheodd1 Why? Because I am right?

  • @chroniclesofhensley All you see on your page is you bitching and moaning via the internet.. Pin up models most certainly have the modesty and playfulness today's oversexualized society lacks. Then again, if they're such a disgrace, why are you devoting your time to watch videos of them?

  • ...... lol

  • Ooooooh I would love to be a pinup model!!! Damn my square waist :(

  • where can i by that hair net thing ??? i think there realy cute

  • What are the rollers you were using at 2:00 called? :)

  • @gothicappearance plain old sponge rollers :) you can buy them in grocery stores from brands like goodys and conair.

  • @gothicappearance I think theyre foam rollers. I really want to know too lol

  • How would one get into pin up modeling?

  • Love their hair

  • soooooo CUTE!!!

  • I died. They're so pretty. And red hair, my God. Wish I could be like that.. :/

  • i love your hair color! you mind telling me what shade it is please?

  • very beautiful make-up and poses, also the hairstyle, just, the color mix of black with that super red I don't like. I think it would be prettier with more natural color ! But it's just a taste, good job !

  • Thanks everybody who gave me advice : ) I would like to maybe just go down to a size 12 although I find not eating too much quite hard haha...I am only really unhappy with my middle as it is very round :/

  • Someone needs to tell these gals that "vintage" and "retro' are not the same thing!

  • @RhythmAndSoul59 what is the difference?

  • @RhythmAndSoul59 "retro" is an imitation(reproduction) of something from the past and "vintage" is something from another era.

  • very interesting... i love the hairstyle and makeup

  • Very cool. I never knew there is so much to know about being a pin up girl.

  • its noticable that you guys are reading something

  • I want to be like you!!

  • Omg! Were did she get that red nail polish????

  • @shelbina08 OMG any drug store!

  • @RhythmAndSoul59 O so you went and bought to polish for her... Damn im sorry, I should have asked you.

  • @shelbina08 Have you been to a make up counter, beauty supply, nail salon or drug store lately? It's not that special. it's red. There's a million variations. Damn!

  • @RhythmAndSoul59 Thats right "There's a million variations". DUH! Goofball. Clearly I wanted to know the name of THAT polish. I can go anywhere and buy RED nail polish, but I like the red nail polish she's wearing. I mean come on now,,, you cant be that damn silly. Are you the gotdamn nail polish police???

  • Very nice. Im thinking about having a friend whos a natural red be a vintage pinup for some photos :)

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the nail polish Ms. May is wearing in the video?

  • i wish i could be a pinup model..i am a size 10 and i get never lower than that :(

  • I'm gonna be a pinup model for Halloween :)

  • HI,I WANT TO MAKE A MODEL.BUT HOW CAN ?

  • These two amazing gals taught my Band's singer how to do makeup, hair, etc.

    Molly Does Not Approve

  • Oh my goodness....just adorable!..thank you.

  • Is she wearing the Bernie Dexter Sweetheart dress?

  • I am dying to be a pin up model....but I have such a small top =(

  • @OriginalOrangeeyes I work with a girl with a smaller bust and she's doing amazing!

  • You happen to be relatively gorgeous, thanks a lot for your tutorial. it can be sad i'm located in West Farmington simply because i can't get quality make-up, on the other hand i find zero cost cosmetics samples from 'Gratis Makeup Samples'. i really like Rimmel makeup!

  • Do U think it's possible 2 be both a pin-up & a fashion model?

  • do you need to be a certain dress size for this kind of modelling? I am a siz 12-14, i cant really physically get lower than a 12...i have tried it before and made myself very ill. i understand this look is more about curves than being really slim though? I am really keen to acheive this kind of look, do i need to lose weight, or just tone up?

  • @xAllie88x The classic pinup looks are certainly about the curves - you have a curvy figure, good for you! It's also about looking healthy and radiant, so being active and staying fit (nothing to do with dress sizes) is always a good idea - it's important that YOU are happy with the way you look. Happy & radiant = sexy!

  • @xAllie88x Size 12 is awesome! I wish I were a size 12!

  • @xAllie88x I'm sure u could pull this off, Marilyn Monroe was a 14, she was fit & knew the perfect balance between soft & tight. In other words she didn't hav under arm "boob" in a strapless dress. lol In truth "Go Go Amy" looks like she needs 2 Go Go back 2 the strip club, maybe u could take'er place. She's 2 old, 2 skinny, her proportions r not attractive in typical pinup style & she did a horrible job on the eyes. I could c gaps of skin color near the lashes & the lines were bumpy Eww much?

  • @xAllie88x Marilyn Monroe was a size 12 mostly, she had some trimmer moments but 12 was her consistent weight, and I doubt she EVER dropped below a size 8 or 10. She became expert at manipulating her body & face for the camera (well, obviously! Thats why she's marilyn monroe!)

  • @xAllie88x DON'T lose the weight!

  • by any chance are you selling it on ameba on hollywood?

  • i loved this!

  • I saw you ladies this weekend....and I totally fell in love. thank you for all the inspiration you bring! xxo

  • I will definitely buy it :) I have just find pin up style, and as I love it. I don't have to hide my tattoos any more when on weddings party, etc !!! I love it, love it.... ha ha ha

  • I'm glad to see old style glammer comming back. I grew up watching the old black and white movies where all of the actresses looked like pinup girls. It is a classic look that I really like. I may even try to make myself look like it, just for fun. Or, maybe, for my bellydancing.

  • yay! can't wait :)

  • i really want to be a pinup model! i wish i could take one of their classes.

  • love the red hair!

  • dear world dance newyork,

Thanks for another wonderful dvd, i will be enclosing my credit card in this letter when you release something new, just charge it to my card and send it in the mail

  • @njoinvisablegirl That is so sweet - ! :'-) (and really funny!!) Thank you, njoinvisablegirl!

  • Buu to bad that kind of make up doesn't fit me at all :< ...

    Great video!

  • @Almenari I don't believe it's possible that vintage makeup such as this looks bad on anyone. It's a classic and it looks great on everybody.
