I don't think they can remake such a thing. For one thing, people have different shoulder spans which you have to take into consideration. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a spare system. But nowadays, everyone has their own style, comfort and unique way of doing things.

I'm assuming that's for standardized house shots. Just imagine if Durbin was shooting the bucket just like that on the Cheetah pattern :-O, maybe the pin wheel could calculate oil too :)

Since the advent of reactive resin and particle bowling balls, some would consider this information outdated. Mind you this tip was aired in 1992, the year reactive balls were introduced to the bowling public.

Which kind of balls did they use before then? Hard rubber ?

The pros began using urethane balls in 1980, the year AMF created "The Angle" the first ball made with a urethane coverstock. Prior to 1980, plastic and rubber balls were used. I hope that answers your question.
