I expected Tony to play his vintage 66 SG. It has great tone. It's almost as good in tone as the Gibson and Yamaha units Carlos played in the mid 70's to early 90's period.

i saw this 2 days after this show on september 7th in uncasville connecticut with alice cooper and queensryche and dio was fucking awesome except they cut out part of their setlist because alice cooper played longer than he was supposed to and went on late

Gotta tell you, that on Evil or Divine (New York 2000) DVD his singing is amazing. You should really check that. On the Holy Diver DVD i think he had a soar throat or something, cause he's never been that bad (before and since). By the way, when they gave a concert here in Hungary, with H&H, his voice was really amazing (like in the early 90-es).

I feel better after seeing this, Dio sounded real bad early on in this tour and awful on the Holy diver live album. Maybe he is finding a way not to hurt his voice so much.

WHOA!!! WTF happened to DIO? He's suddenly singing 10 times better than he has in 7 years! Recently he has sounded like a dying old man (think 'Grandpa' from South Park) and most have felt sorry for him and had too much respect for him to voice that Dio suddenly didn't sound like Dio anymore...it was blatantly obvious that something was wrong (Radio City dvd) but no one spoke of it. Even his speaking voice was gone.

Fuck I saw him here in NZ with H&H and he was amazing. Radio City Hall sounds fucking rockin' to me.
Honestly, maybe you should have a listen to the other billion bands out there live... They've got nothing on this guy.
