  • AnyOne who suffed thru the agony of ENron - can follow that this logic" too big to fail". Self appointment (chosing your Regulator).

  • wasn't Bill Clinton the president in 99 (repeal of the act)? Now that tells you sthg. Why not vote independant & create another way from the roots up that will force politicians from either side to start really do sthg for the ppl & by the ppl?

  • @chitownjt

you get a gold star* for your ability to string 4 words into such an intellectually impressive sentence, did you learn that in the 2nd grade...you even spelled them all correctly, your special ed teacher must be so proud...

  • anybody that doesn't understand why this is necessary needs to excuse themselves from the issuesand let others do the thinking

  • Thank God the things you poor jealous commies want will never happen move to France you will like it better but your not going to get the people here to buy your crap.

  • @NIKV69 France is communist? That's a really stupid statement.

  • @NIKV69

    Trolling I see : )

  • @NIKV69 keep on bailing out failing financial giants & getting robbed blind, just stop trying to export it by any means necessary then

  • @truthmouthpiece2 I never wanted to bail them out, I wanted them to go under like they deserved.

  • @NIKV69 Troll

  • "And Hank Paulson, and all that crap." THIS MAN IS A SAINT.

  • CNN should give Matt Taibbi a show.

  • Some people out there really know whats goin on... I'm amazed. Happy day.

  • They're just happy to while away their time eating their burgers, masturbating to porn, and playing their video games.

When the shit hits the fan, their pants will be browner and smellier than anyone elses.

  • chitownjt your mother is a pig for she gave birth to swine like you

  • Savage started coverage of this 9 months ago i think. He also touched on one more key piece of the puzzle that Matt did not which was a 2004 piece of legislation that bush removed that removed safe guards on leveraging limitis.

  • Did you notice that Rolling Stone softened down the entire article just last night, cutting it down from 5 pages to 2 lame, bland pages on the website? Hunter S. Thompson must be rolling in his grave right about now! Grow a pair RS!

  • Marry me, Matt.

  • I was just about to ask if anyone else thought matt was hot. I guess so!

  • It was an amazing article. I'm still pissed at Rolling Stone for merging Taibbi into the National Affairs crapshoot and then deleting everyone's negative reactions on his blog, but even I bought the issue for this piece, and I DO NOT regret it. Love Taibbi, thanks heath.

  • This really was an excellent article. It really is a must-read. Check

    (add slashes, take out commas)

  • Taibbi & Maddow in the same show = entertaining while informing and educating.

  • Bring back Glass-Steagle. No more Citibank becoming CitiGROUP by eating up investment banks. No more insurance companies selling financial products. C'mon fed, kill all this shit.

  • Good reply.. some vague point that is not true.. Matt never created the story nor is it a lie..

  • Your link states that the Turkey was real but was used for show. However it was not plastic as Matt Taibbi stated.

Google " G.O.B.B.L.E. MEMBERSHIP INCREASES" to see his full statement

  • but make sure and turn on your "safesearch" preferences first. :D

  • sirfith:

The only Plastic Turkey here is the former never-elected President.

  • Sadly, the second time, he WAS elected. So he's only really a 1 term president...

  • pilotamurorei:

    Well, I guess I disagree.

From what I understand, Junior won by the smallest margin of any President in recent years. And considering the Exit Polls (who are very rarely wrong) who had Kerry ahead in some of the major states... Those Exit Poll numbers had Kerry win.

    I think it was rigged.

  • Well, he was re-elected...to a position he was never elected to. Both terms were unconstitutional. That being said, it's absolutely unbelievable that the Democrats weren't able to find someone in '04 to beat one of the most unpopular presidents of all time.

  • Unbelievable? That's a very polite way to put it, AjInfinity

Bonesmen? Both candidates. Who would have thought it?

OR the fix was in. Given that Ohio _was_ stolen, you might like to consider what more cynical sorts have assumed for many years -

    Gore Vidal - ?v=1KgkFNSHYno

How do we know it _was_ stolen? Congressman Conyers told us how it was done -

John Conyers - What Went Wrong In Ohio: The Conyers Report On The 2004 Presidential Election. - Amazon is your friend.

  • Even more sadly, pilotamurorei, the second time, there was massive voter fraud, but Kerry conceded almost immediately. If Kerry had fought in Ohio the way the Al Franken recently fought in Minnesota, good chance Bush would not have had a second term..

  • they go that big because they were allowed to by the repubs, finanace isnt hard, they new instruments were mede to be complex to hide the risk

  • Taibbi's new Rolling Stone article is great.

  • Matt Rules.

  • Taibbi is a champ, give this guy some awards. Give him a raise, give him a sunday NY Times column. Give him a weekly spot on the Maddow show, give him megaphone.

  • ABSOLUTELY agree w/ matt.

No reason why they should get so big.
