This was an excellent, honorable action taken by these heroic men and women, citizens who have bravely stood up for our country, once with their military service and now, as vets, to raise a banner of Truth and Justice, unfurled on the hallowed halls of our capital.
We have no national leaders willing to take such a stand, to demand accountability for crimes of aggression, torture, and murder that have been committed in our name. I applaud these Veterans for Peace! Stand up, raise our voice!

Today, when the Nuremberg trials are remembered, they are remembered primarily for the prosecution and punishment of individuals for genocide. Equally important at the time though, especially in the first trial, was the focus on aggressive war.
Thus, the first sentence of Justice Jacksons opening statement: The privilege of opening the first trial in history for crimes against the peace of the world imposes a grave responsibility.

I can't believe that news like this isn't being reported on by the major networks like CNN, ABC, NBC, etc. The LA Times did do a story on its website though.
