  • Can be better

  • Nice save at the end =P

  • @1Arch1 I have totally done the same thing on this piece haha

  • Nice, man! Please watch my version of "Restless", as well. =) Greets, RjA.

  • Hey lad. Good performance!! I really like this piece. Is there any way you could send me the sheets? I would love to play this.

  • could you email me a copy of this music cause i like it but i dont wanna pay for it.

  • What are the stickings you're using for measures 34 and 35?

  • I'm sorry, I actually can't find the music anymore... but if you tell me which part it is, I can probably remember. Is it the C# minor section? I remember I had to do some funky stuff there.

  • Yeah it is actually. It's when you have the B, C, and E consecutively. The sticking I'm using now (1 3 2 4) isn't working very well. I hit the node almost every time on the F#. =/

  • haha So I realized what I was doing wrong today.. I forgot about the stupid C# accidental. :P But thanks for offering your help. I really appreciate it! ^_^

  • I really, really liked this recording. My friend recommended it to me to play for solo and ensemble next year and I think now I just might :) What kind of mallets did you use for it? I really like their sound

  • I'm playing this for my sophomore regional solo. You did really well. I'm super hyped to work on this solo. Great choice of marimba. Marimba Ones are one of my favorite marimbas. Too bad we only have an Adams and Musser. =/ GREAT WORK!

  • u are so lucky !!!.... in my collage there are only a musser and a malletech.... and another made by some guy ......

  • I haven't played on a Malletech... I honestly prefer the Musser. I love the resination it puts out, but because of my size and how many other people use it, I have to stick with the Adams.

  • Adams are great man!!.... my teacher has one, and i will steal it someday for sure

  • haha I know it's great, but what I really want is a Yamaha 5.0 Octave Professional. WSU has one. It's gorgeous!!!!!

  • but expensive haha.... the one i have is 5 octave but it is a traditional marimba, nice sound but..... not compared with a malletech or an Adams

  • I would give anything to own my own marimba!! But then again, I'm only in high school so I still have a chance. haha

  • hey man, im might be doing this for my college audition, and i really like the mallets you're using, what are they?

    great vid by the way

  • Thanks alot! I'm using the Malletech She-Wu signatures. I have a medium soft in the bass and medium hard in the top three. Because of my bad camera placement, the bass notes don't cut through at all, but that mallet sounds great down there. You should watch the video of this at my recital. I do alot more with it.

  • Sounds Great! Keep up the good work!

from watching the video (just my opinion) you would probably raise the marimba a little higher. Even a little faster might make it sound a little better. When I played this solo my teacher told me to feel the groove with the accents. :)

  • Thanks, that video was several months ago, and I think I do play it a little higher now. I had my junior recital last week and I'll put up those videos soon, Tell me what you think on those!

  • Thank you! No, I'm from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Tx.

  • what a pretty song :)

and i thought it was good,

i mean, i have like a SUPER hard time with 4 mallet music

    well done

oh and when u say hpu, do u mean hawaii pacific university?

  • Hello! I think Youre work is right and the voice is nice- so If You grove the tempo it will be really good! Have a good work and good luck for the recital!

  • Thanks a lot! I definitley will.
