I am certainly not tonedeaf. You can't compare them. She makes it her own, and it's great. Yes, MJ's rendition is seminal, no argument there. But this is a really unique and inspired take on the tune.

its not about the tone. you can criticize a song even if you're tone deaf. she sang it well, and gave justice to the song. this one is kinda modern, most teens would prefer this. MJ may have a fine voice but it doesnt mean that she can't s sing a song better than the original. both versions are good.

good acoustic performance. great to see an old pop song like that is still making the rounds. but better than the jackson 5 version?... no way. when mj was a kid he absolutely OWNED this song - irregardless of how nuts the guy is now, trying to cover a song by mj is like trying to cover a song by the beatles or the eagles - honors the original artist, but doesn't touch the original production.
