nmclay.....i believe you can play la Catedral without having to read music...there are many good players playing after tab..but cantisavalencia must have a lot of skill to play this piece especially the allegro solemne.....And this is a good interpretation!
I appreciate your point. I have played many years and I play advanced intermediate, at best. I read music but I am a SLOW sight reader. I have a had time seeing someone who is not able to read music being able to play something THIS difficult. I can get by on quote a few pieces with tab but I believe this piece is just too big a stretch for someone who never learned to read music. I hope someone can prove me wrong. I can assure you that Brandon reads music to play like that!
not true. many people play solely by ear (myself included), and many times a song of this caliber is simply too difficult to learn by ear alone. this being said the tabs would be very helpful
Both the Chaconne and La Catedral were set pieces for the Parkening competition. I assume you tried out for that? Do you know if you got accepted or not?
I've been playing on and off for 5 years and no where am I close to your skill level... I wish I knew more great guitar players like you to help me along.. :_ ; thanks for the great videos... please post more.
This, like the Chaconne, is flawless. Your playing reminds me of both Christopher Parkening and John Williams with your beautiful musical sense as well as very good technique. Do you think you will be able to post the entirety of both at some point?
Great interpretation!! I wish I could hear the whole thing!!!

I dunno, if someone played this piece about 3/4 as well with better sound quality, then I might be happier.

Hey there buddy
Im playing that piece as well and I like teh way you played it (even though it was short)
I saw that you did for the arpeggios at the end and I liked it alot. I may just take that from you :p

It's really a nice piece. But these are just the final notes on the 3'rd movement of Agustin Barrios work.
