The deftones are amazing, but only to the people that open there eyes to this unique type of music. People that haven't, don't let the harmony of this enter there brain and sounds like crap. At first I only liked the calm songs of the deftones, after i listened to them for a while i became addicted and anything they make is absolutely beautiful. For me Team Sleep's self titled was nice but after awhile it just felt alittle alienating and it was good don't get me wrong but some just was maybe too draggy when compared to SNW. Thats a good thing and the album acheived what it set out to do and that was to have a drifty innocent sound but it's only that whereas SNW has much more to it's sound from alittle harsh to spacey and etheral more so than any album yet. It may not be the best of all but it's unique and definetly stands out.

Saturday Night Wrist was such a disappointment after the hulking, epic, icy and withdrawn giant that the self titled record was. Saturday Night Wrist saw chino hamming up the vocals somewhat, giving the songs a bland radio rock sound. In my opinion, the first Team Sleep album was the last quality work of moreno's career.

I did favor the cinematic feel that drama gave off in the songs even in the ones the couple of songs that sounded not quite within the same sound as the rest of the album such as "Lucky You." I have loved every album these guys have did but to me Saturday Night Wrist was really good in the sence that this is an experimental/metal band so it's expected that they change their sound and add more. If you are very familiar with all of the Deftones albums you can see how they become greater in depth.

I like the SNW the most because like all of there songs it still has that atmosphere they always carried but it isn't pop like especially when looking at songs like "Rats Rats Rats" I liked the instrumental aswell.

The album was diverse and carried a complicated but easy to love sound. It may not be the best but thats more favoring opinion but that album carried the most complication in sound yet. And in my opinion it was nice to see even more pure at heart feeling put into the songs instead of just somber agression.

Simply because with them you never know how the album is gonna sound as a whole. Maybe they can give something to like for those that dig the ealry stuff. I gotta admit even though I like the increasing creativity in the later albums I would like to see something close to Adrenaline again or even Around The Fur.

The idea of saturday night wrist was great. The complications during recording, Chino touring, and the band fighting caused the sound to suffer. There's great elements in SNW, but if they could re-do it and re-record the whole album, I guarantee it would be ten times better.
