and yes niche was a club based in sheffield but it has become a music genre, you could say bassline and niche are the same music only SLIGHTLY different, i'd say niche is faster than bassline only with lower vocal cords, you could bassline is like a male singing whereas niche is a female singing. but that after is only my OPINION am not saying it's a fact!
