  • Hi people! Anyone knows the whereabouts of sing singer? She made such good pop/world music, but I haven't heard any newer material from her for a while. Her website's not been updated for a long time.

  • Can you upload the Song «Khadja Nin with Sous Le Charme?»

    @PeterPW

  • Awesome

  • generation 1985... one lov Khadja // UVIRA

  • 9ice

  • To PeterPW, this song was released in 1996 although the video and the song has a 1980s feeling, it was made in the mid-90s

  • ~ / ~ peace

  • she is still beautiful despite she being 50

  • Najpiękniejsza Kobieta Świata, śpiewająca prześlicznie. Wprost trudno uwierzyć, że to dzieje się naprawdę. Pozdrawiam. Dziękuję.

  • Great song! I must say, nevertheless, that it is a cover of the song "Keep on singing" - translated into Swahili, of course- , created the Chilean musicean Sebastian Santa Maria (1959-1996), also able here in youtube.

  • napenda hii wimbo sana...

  • nice song

  • her music is so empowering it makes me wanna learn this language

  • it's swahili, relatively easy to learn

  • Thanks kichaa13... think i came close enough to the meaning 8-D

  • in my opinion one of the best songs to come out of africa, in my top 10 list (no.7) of fave songs of all time, I do wish I understood what she's saying because I think it has to do with travelling/trying to find a place/home to belong to?

  • Very roughly; verse one (youtube won't let me post the whole song):

    Far from all countries

    Far from Paris or Rome

    There are poor people

They don't cry; they don't beg

They respond in this way (?)

    Those people sing

    Even if they sleep hungry

    Come in this way...everyday

  • Let alone useless words

    Don't moan about your health

    You don't know poverty

    Look at those people

They don't cry, they don't beg

    Those people sing

    Even if they sleep hungry

  • Verse 3

    Let alone completely

    To imagine being like them

    Does not make you know

    Their life

    We don't know (?)

    We are far from them

    We can help them

    Everyday

  • is a great song but i'm sorry to disappoint you because the original song is not from her, but from Sebastian Santa María a swiss/chilean musician.

you can find him here in youtube as well, the original song is call "Keep on singing"

  • In most countries

Apart from Paris & Rome,There are poor people,

They don't cry nor beg,They respond as is,

They sing even thogh they sleep with starvation & it's like that everyday

So stop cheap talk & complaints of your situation, You don't know poverty,

Look at these people,They don't cry nor beg,

They sing even though they sleep with starvation

Stop thinking that you don't need to know their lives, you are not far from them, There are ways we can help everyday

  • I love this song !!!

  • i don't know a thing y'all are talkin'about. leave the woman alone, she's doin her thing, whether she's from burundi, belgium or italy she's a true african queen, she's representing the motherland worldwide and that is the most important thing. NNAH NDONG Messir-Wilfried.

  • Thanks for posting song! I have always loved it.

  • been working for you janine for years. Even though we didn't see each other for years, I'm still thinking (sometimes) about you and Tanga. I'd like to meet you again... when life will tell... Best regards... Mahatma

  • I've know her too in that period. Last year I've seen her brother Wah'Tanga several times with another groupe.

  • she is from burundi

  • wale watu- "those - people", well this song is specifically an east african song/artist. i think kenyan. she speaks about the poor/homeless. makes alot sense to people who comprehend Kiswahili.

  • She is originally from Burundi. Due to politcal problems and wars, she end up in Kigoma, TANZANIA where she spent much of her time

  • Khadja spent most of her life in Belgium.

  • she went there as a refugee but was not born in Belgium

  • She was born in Gitega, Burundi. She didn't go to Belgium as a refugee, she just followed her husband. After his dead she stayed in Belgium for more then ten years.

  • Great music, I love Khadja:>
