It's all done for commercial reasons. They always have some theme going. After Christmas, it's Valentine's Day, then Easter, then Fourth of July (here in the USA), then Back To School, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving (another local holiday), and then Christmas again.

the reason stores don't do much for that holiday because during halloween they sell things like decorations *please excuse my spelling* and candy, christmas decorations and presants, thanksgiving eh not much to sell there lol

I completely agree with you. I love Halloween but before it's even started there's bloody Christmas shite. It really gets on my wick. By Christmas I'm usually bored out of my mind with the christmassy stuff. I might send people a Halloween card for Christmas this year.

Shops are just trying to rip us off though. We all know Christmas bargains are to be had the week after, and we all have somewhere to stuff them until next year!

Where I work, they have had Christmas decorations for sale since the beginning of October. Ridiculous. Customers don't buy it, nobody wants to see it, it's poor judgement by upper-management.

On the topic of bonfires, here in the UK where we have Bonfire night, there are usually designated areas for them. Of course people have their own in gardens, which are usually safe, and there are some in any field, which aren't so safe, but not too many of the latter. Having areas put aside for them is a good idea.

I worked in retail last Christmas, and this year at least in America, it is going to be a lot worse. I know Black Friday will start at like 11pm on Thanksgiving.

They actually are in the right frame of mind this year however. The economy being what it is people need time to shop. Lay-a-way is the way to go this year from my understanding.

Nice job on the video, you made some good points. I was at Wal-Mart the other day, but not for long, so I didn't notice if they had the Christmas stuff out. They had the Halloween stuff though.  Today at school though I was at the university library and noticed they were already putting up a Christmas tree display near the stairs. Thankfully though they just put some fall (autumn) decorations on it. Christmas stuff in November is cool, but not in October.

Hell, at the stores around me, there is more Christmas stuff than Halloween. It just doesnt feel right. I mean when I see Christmas stuff in late Nov. Early Dec, I know its Chirstmas time. Now, it just feels weird.

And I share the exact same bonfire memories as you! There used be a field opposite where I live [that's now turned into an estate, so what else is new?] where for weeks and weeks we'd gather a bonfire - I wish there could be at least *one* official bonfire somewhere around. I remember when Wford had LOADS and you could drive around and visit them all!!
