If it were only that easy!!  Being an ASE master tech, I have ran into many missfires that plugs and wires would not fix. How about low compression on that cylinder? You are miss leading alot of people here buddy!

Of course its not always that easy, but misfires are most likely to be either spark (plug, wire, coil) or fuel (injector). With a decent scantool, a shadetree mechanic can knock off most of those repairs, or at least have data to point to where the problem isnt which saves a lot of time and money in itself. When a misfire does turn out to be mechanical instead of spark or fuel, for most of us its time to call a pro!
