Quick question, help is appreciated. Where do all of the cables go to/ come from with this pedal? It looks like the input comes from the guitar, return goes to the overdrive, and how do the other two come into play?
@matt21randyrhoads All the pedals connect in the noise clamp by send and return and the guitar is connected in input/output. The reason is because noise clamp process all the signal (All the pedals you have) and puts in your guitar.
@rockerman012 The way this pedal works is similar to an effects loop. The send and return go the the respective in/out of your distortion pedal and the guitar goes through the in/out of the Noise Clamp.
Hey guys, if you want to know what's the fuzz right there, it's a T-Fuzz from T-Pedals. It's a great fuzz, sounds so freaking natural and chunky! Recommended for all of you guys.
still the hiss is there , and we dont use only one distortion/fuzz/overdrive pedal , the only reason there is hiss , white noise is because using treble mainly so the fail is always come from the eq in the pedals and amps just take them off if they dont do the job . the best way to get eq for sound is using system based on resistors not capacitors , it seems no one learned anything all these years of amps/pedals industry , really shame :(
Just got one of these and it's a huge disappointment, the gate seams to work so fast for him but in reality it's slow and the hiss never goes till the gate starts to come on.
The worst thing about it all is that my feedback and hum aint even that bad i have to use this thing on full trigger to get it to work at all. I was expecting so much better from my minor problem.
MXR are still good products i use their stuff and i am just a little gutted this is the first one to not meet the grade.
@kingdarko I'll be honest after changing my set up i got the pedal working to a much better standard but the thing is still not perfect. I've got two units in the front end of my amp so logically you would put it last to clean up the sound but it's really needs to go guitar > mxr noise clamp> effects> front of amp. Kind of annoying cos it won't kill the hiss of two units but it never seamed to work anyway but the clamp part works great now.
@kingdarko Hey man. I have this pedal and I absolutely love it. I always keep it completely cranked and only engaged when I am using a high-noise pedal. I've realized that when I use it that way, it cancels instantly and cleanly.
Also, I've noticed that when engaging the pedal for the first time in a few minutes, it takes a couple tries to warm up. You'll realize it goes from slower to instant.
What would be better is a distortion pedal with a noise reduction inside that pedal so you only have to push one button on stage. It would make life a shit ton easier.
Hi, can you tell me please how I should describe the mxr m 195 with my boss gt 8 to insert into the effects loop. The boss gt 8, I have connected with 4 cable method and mxr to be involved in the effects loop, thanks and Best regards from Germany!
Sweet but where the hell can I get one??? Canada anywhere???? I did see them on ebay, but I want to try it first, since their other gate pedal sucks... the volume out of all your other pedals!!
Just found out that there is a internal switch that turns this pedal into a complete bypass pedal. So the pedals in the effects loop of the noise clamp can be noise reduced and taken out of the signal path.
I owned a SMART GATE and sold it 'cause it blows when using a toggling a combo of pedals. With the Loop Bypass mode, stomping on this thing bypasses the loop-- eliminating the need for disengaging groups of effects along with the smart gate.
@ChucklesMginty well i mean technically its not a review, but i dont think anything really needs to be said. this demo really is as simple as turning the knob and a full on review isnt really needed. pedal on: effect, pedal off: effect

Does the job. Don't think you can find a noise gate that doesn't effect the tone somewhat. If you can, let me know!
