Toywise, I think it was intended as such; but G1 Megatron wasn't THAT shiny at all...this was WAY overdone.

Remember Classics Megatron and how ugly it was? You should see the Takara-made Henkei version...gray plastic AND chromed silver...another nod to G1, but this looks hideous only because the design sucks. (Then again, two different shades is kinda tacky, IMO...)

Yeah. Of course, on the downside, the toy of Galvatron looked absolutely HORRIBLE. All that shiny silver...yuck!!! (And he was WHITE in the anime, that's the second one they got wrong!!) Worse yet, the Takara version was every bit as ugly...

Vector Prime actually has 100% correct colors upon the japanese version of the toy. I actually don't honestly care for Wingsaber's chrome chest. However I have Metroplex, and yes... his paint job is not 100% correct, as compared to the japanese toy.

Honestly, if you want figures with correct paintjobs, purchase the japanese version of evey figure. But that is if you REALLY want an excellent paintjob.
