  • a word of advice hold the front brake tight stops you from twisting the throttle without realising as you kick cuz all your doing here is drowning that thing and stop ragging that throttle as soon as you think its started man let the revs build up thirst bikes do that without need of the throttle you know

  • i have a solution,get a 2 stroke.

  • tip for future yzf are fitted with an accelerator pump wich means each time you twist the throttle it squirts fuel into the carb all you were doing in the clip was flooding the shit out of it.when kicking it keep your right hand on the crossbar till your used to not twisting the throttle each time you kick it

  • You're twisting the throttle too much and flooding it. Need to kick harder too.. give it some boot!

  • its fluded turn the gas off give a few kicks till it starts and turn the gas back on got the same prob wit my yz250f

  • i like how evrytime it poped over she jus pined the throttle lol

  • is that a 01 or 02 model because they have manual decomp?

  • buddy that aint no 2 stroke dont twist the throttle and kick really hard

  • are u holding in the hot start?????

  • roll start?

  • fail... kick it hard and right

  • thats not stock pipe is it

  • this bike just did not have enough stickers on it thats why it was hard to start ! hope you guys had a good ride

  • it didnt start cuz its a women rider

  • yamaha's always looked good... thats about it

  • that 2 stroke in the backround was probly loading up like a mother fucka

  • nope...she's jetted right

  • makes me glad i gotta honda

  • yamaha quality!!

  • lmao!!

  • the case you dont get a yamaha

  • These racer bikes won't start when there isn't valve clearance. No valve clearance=no compression=no start good. No valve clearance is from not cleaning your air filter often enough.

  • Actually it can come from riding your bike in too high of RPM range - race bikes run hot and after a few years they just always need tweaking. I have an 06 CRF450R and it starts after 3-4 kicks but I make sure to turn it over once every month.

Hate to say it, but most people these days seem to be weekend warriors that dont take the time to learn about their bike. They didn't roll the throttle to fill the carb before kicking, and that right there could be their prob.

  • lmfao. Yamaha's suck.

    2 strokes are way better.

  • that comment makes no sense. 2 strokes arent a brand name? my yamaha yz 125 2 stroke is awesome.

  • You're a fucking idiot. I said Yamaha sucks because he couldnt get it started. Then i said 2 strokes are better because he's on a four stroke and the fucking thing aint starting...probably cause he dosent look after his bike...or because Yamaha really does suck. You make no sense. Read and understand before you say shit. I ride a Kx 125 2 stroke...starts every time...and in one kick.

  • ok calm down lol, just saying my opinion. my yz 125 will start first kick every time too :)

  • @Mempker but ive got a 4stroke and its gr8 it starts every time

  • is it in nutural

  • dam it this is making me want to go riding so bad =/

  • i love how a 2stroke can be heard running in the back ground and the guy is still trying to strat his 4stroke

  • dude i hate that. it gets frusterating. then ur leg is all worn out wen it finally starts

  • i have always had 2 strokes but thinking of buying a yzf250 its 05 any real difference in weight between 2stroke 125 an the yzf

  • I'd imagine a pretty big difference. I'm guessing close to 40-50lbs heavier.

  • ya heavier but way more power

  • ehhh, just push start it in 4th

  • stupid four stroke i want to sell mine and get a 2 stroke

  • 4stroke all the time

  • haha ive always had a four stroke ha lol want a 2 stroke though there cool

  • rock it a little

  • kik it and thn rev man it wil go every time :) thats wat m9 duz :)

  • he/she twisted the throttle right after it would start. of course a cold 4 stroke wont run that way.

  • i am 12 and i am capable of kicking over a yamaha ttr 230 that my dad owns...ITS FUKIN EASY!=)

  • Nice for you, idiot..

  • give him or her a round of aplos

  • get a hotcam it comes with a auto decompressor and makes starting really easy

  • This kind of stuff makes me glad i've always been loyal to my 2 strokes! lol they never take more than 2 kicks hot or cold.

  • u kick it over like shit im only 16 and im 140 and i can kick over a bike easy even my budys it400 if u cant get it sitting stand up quickly and put all yur weigh on the kicker and just kick it hard it will start right up

  • If only your grammar and spelling were as good as your kick starting abilities.

  • lol true

  • all it needed was a mans kick......

  • thats a yz426f or a yz450f?

  • YZ250F

  • oh.thanx.

  • the kick starter has nothing to do with it you just didnt flush out your gas lines when you were done riding it last time and your bike got flooded

  • really nice bike..but i should have blue or black rims on it

  • the main downside of a 4 stroke...

  • Hard starting is not a given for every 4t but it seems to be somewhat of a trend among my 4t riding friends. All i know is after almost 10 minutes of kicking she was pretty worn even before the ride started!

  • ya that sucks thats why i was thinkin about a 125.. but i,ll probly get 250f instead...

  • your not meant to touch the throttle when starting a 4 stroke. She keeps opening the throttle, thats why it wont start!. I had a YZF and i had NO PROBLEM starting it. And of course you need the choke on when starting!

  • correct never touch the throttle , but i never used the choke , just prime it , get it to top dead centre and one good boot and bruum :)

even my 11 year old brother can start my bike this way..
