This is the only Indiana Jones movie I haven't seen at the theater, and it came out back when I was a little kid.
Unlike several other films that came out the summer of '89, I'm not that upset at missing this one.

A matter of taste then I suppose.
When I watched Indy 4 in the theater, I had the same feeling , back when I first watched the "new" Star Wars episodes.
That means sitting like a little child, big eyes, anticipating the greatest moment, but not just getting the feeling expected. Rather disappointed to say the least. Heard the other day they are workin on a new Indy movie, let's hope this one is better.

1st Indy movie was by no doubt, a classic; but the 2nd (Temple of Doom) and 3rd (The Last Crusade) holds a special place in my heart. Bottom line? I love all 3 original Indy films. ^^

Great commercial!! Too bad I was too young to see the new movie, as the only good movies I saw that year included The Litle Mermaid and then Batman when it came out on VHS.
