hello i know you dont care but i am a preteen writer i write whole storys and i can think of an idea in 3 minute or less when i see successful people who i know are better than me i melt down even when i hear complements i normaly delete the whole story i have hopes and dreams of becoming a writer/director i dont have dreams of becoming famous or a movie star and i feel like a nobody if i write it piles in my computer help me have faith please i might even help you write a story (of your own)

@FunnyCrazii You should remember that everyone starts out like you. You should only compare yourself with yourself. How much have you improved is what you should ask. Lucky for you you already know what you want to do at a young age. If you're willing to work for it the hardest you'll get their. It takes time, the more your write and study the better you will get.

ehh, not a big fan of these tips. you shouldn't have to follow a rigid structure to be a writer, and as for writing to your audience, i agree more with the vonnegut school of thought. "Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia"

Becoming a writer depends on preparation.

Instead of reading authors like King or Clancy for style and overall influence, you should read them as an overall template for becoming a writer but not becoming THAT kind of writer.

My Advice: Write as much as possible so that you can develop your style and more importantly your own voice. The more you know about yourself as a writer, the smarter and more aware you will be.

That's a tip from a smartass.

GOD i love writing i finally found my calling I might be 13 but I know that I have to be one that is my dream. But If anyone knows a place in NYC (new york city) that I can join to write I'm gonna be 14 in a about a month cause over the summer I have a lot of time on my hands to do so.
