@megaphone - yep u r right. timelapse is still images taken at set interval and joined together to create a video. this is simply a video played back at a faster rate than usual. cool none the less.

Yeah it was just a regular camera. And the only time picture time lapse's work good is after years have gone by, as to see them appear to move for something like let's say a glacier you'd have to take thousands of pictures and 1,000 pictures would go by in like 30 seocnds.

6 hours elapsed and I make it into 5 minutes which means you see 6 hours elapse in 5 minutes which is a time lapse.

You know what would be really cool? It would be cool if someone did the same exact thing as this, but included a Zoomed in map (maybe a GPS unit) that would display the position of the car at any point during the video.

Yeah I've thought about that, the only problem I have is recording it, since it's not like a computer where you can take a screenshot basically.

What if you filmed with two cameras, one setup on the road, the second setup squarely on a GPS unit and you just merge the two clips together after the fact -- do a little testing to make sure they're in synch and that might do it. Then you could do a picture-in-picture. Also would be neat if you had the map image from the GPS unit faded into the background as a sort of Indiana Jones effect (sort of, that's what it would remind me of, anyway).

Yeah just take your cell phone or whatever you have and stand it up on the dashboard and film in either 15 minute, half hour, to hour incriments, and then shorten the video with an editing program, the opposite of adding slow motion.

Just make sure you have a lot of film or else it won't look right lol.

Actually it's not hacked, it has the same ratio of many other videos with 3 million views, despite being viewed only 300 thounsand times.

Most people don't rate or comment on Youtube. The reason that people claim these type of videos are hacked is because they don't get as many comments as most music videos. In the music videos everyone argues thus you get more comments.
