@adam0509 as it was explained to me by our record label (I was in a band which had japanese versions of our releases), CDs, and just about everything else, cost so much more in Japan, they generally try to include extra tracks on the Japanese releases in order to make it seem more worthwhile to buy them. Seems fairly logical. I'd hate to pay, say $30 for an album with only a few songs on it.
