Take off the fucking kilt, go back into your house and eat a burger. Americans, regardless of origion shouldnt be wearing Kilts. I am scottish/ Irish on my mothers side, and i dont want to watch a video of scottish highland games with a fucking American wearing MY countries national dress. kilts are Irish and scottish, predominantly the latter.
Well, no one wants to see their identity get hi-jacked, but the truth is that this may not be our nationality--but it is our HERITAGE. The accent may be wrong, but we're from these clans, too!
@DtTV94 Wrong mate, kilts like the bagpipes came from Ireland as did the Scottish.Scotland in its original form means 'Irish abroad', as Irish who left Ireland to settle in what we now know as Scotland were called Scoties.

You know what the ironic thing about what you're saying is? EVERY culture in the history of man has come up with an unbifurcated male clothing, with the origin of the Scottish kilt, and the name, being of NORSE descent from the Norse invading Scotland and wearing the kjalta, a non-tartan pleated garment. The modern kilt, the one you know today the short/walking kilt, was invented by an Englishman. So, get off of your fail-horse and smell the manure. And yes, I wear kilts and Utilikilts.
@DtTV94 fagg... he has every fucking right to wear a kilt! 1st amendment in the american constitusion!... allows freedom of expression!... people in america come from many different ethnic backgrounds... and have every right to express their pride in their scottish heritage if they so happen to be scottish!
Check into your history. Scots left Scotland and went elsewhere. We have every right to hold onto our heritage. Besides which, if you knew anything about your own Scottish culture, you'd know that the Irish did not and do not typically wear kilts. They are a uniquely Scottish and only recently have been adopted by the Irish as a statement of being "non-English" which is really sort of stupid in my opinion. But leave your anti-American bigotry where it is.
Wow, thanks a bunch. It's finally spring so I can get out and do some caber-tossing. I just bought one from Cabers R Us. My yard is ideal for practice. Thanks kilt dude!

@DtTV94 I'm of Eastern European descent, and the only thing I can say about kilts is that I wish MY ancestors had thought of them first.
